Netflix is currently shooting a new fantasy festive romantic comedy A MATTER OF TIME which has quite a stellar cast including Ben Stiller, Toby Jones, Anne Reid, Nicholas Galitzine and Rivals star Bella Maclean. The plot: An unlikely angel is sent from heaven to convince a reclusive man to give up his life for the greater good. The man agrees, only for his impending death to trigger a new lease on life, and a romance that threatens to change the course of history.

As the story progresses, it’s more than music that binds them; a deeply potent, long-buried secret begins to surface, one that unexpectedly entangles the two unlikely creative masterminds behind the band, in a complex triangle, and threatens to tear everything apart. BBC has decided to give us something new in the middle of the summer and from Monday July 17th they are launching new four part true crime factual drama THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT on BBC One and their iPlayer. It was written by Sarah Phelps who gave us A Very British Scandal. First two episodes air on the 17th and 18th and then the final two next Monday and Tuesday. 

THIS BRAND NEW SERIES

tells the story of how the meeting of an inspirational teacher, Peter Farquhar (Timothy Spall), and a charismatic student, Ben Field (Éanna Hardwicke), set the stage for one of the most complex and confounding criminal cases in recent memory. It also focuses on how suspicions around Field’s relationship with Ann Moore-Martin (Anne Reid), Peter’s deeply religious neighbour, unlocked a series of chilling revelations. The Sixth Commandment explores the way in which both Peter and Ann were manipulated by Field, capturing the extreme gaslighting, the gripping police investigation and the high-profile trial, while poignantly highlighting the devastating effect of isolation and loneliness, as Field closed in on them. WHO WILL VISIT SANDITON?
