Netflix has released a rather lovely trailer for their new original Australian series MY BRILLIANT CAREER which will be available for streaming from August 13th! Based on the Miles Franklin novel, the six part saga sees Philippa Northeast playing Sybylla, a fiercely modern young woman with one burning ambition: to be a writer, even as her family pushes her toward marriage. Sybylla breaks every convention of 1900 Australia as she chases a story that could write her way to independence, until she falls in love. Will she marry, or risk it all for a creative life? Christopher Chung stars as Harry, Anna Chancellor as Mrs Bossier, Genevieve O’Reilly as Helen, Kate Mulvany as Augusta, Jake Dunn as Frank, Alexander England as Julius, Sherry-Lee Watson as Nell and Miah Madden as Betty.

Although their life has been already adapted a couple of times by BBC, famous Mitford sisters are getting a new period set series at UKTV's channel Drama and Britbox in USA and today we have new images as the series will start June 19th. The six part series OUTRAGEOUS will depict the British socialite sisters, whose antics in the 1930s made their family one of the most well known in the UK. Several infamously supported fascism and the Nazis, though two became staunch opponents of the ideology. Two became well known authors. It will be a story of family betrayals, public scandal, political extremism, personal heartache and even imprisonment. Given that the air date is relatively soon, BritBox has released the trailer as well today which you can see below the post, so you can check it out and tell us what you think, will you be watching when it is released for streaming this summer?

Toby Regbo will play their brother Tom while Anna Chancellor and James Purefoy will be their mother and father. Joshua Sasse will star in the six part series as Oswald Mosley, Jamie Blackley as Peter Rodd, James Musgrave as Hamish Erskine, Calam Lynch as Bryan Guinness and Will Attenborough as Joss.

It is sort of a fantasy drama as in it Jane Gray is not beheaded and actually becomes the queen of England. You can catch the first trailer below the post. We're retelling history the way it should have happened: the damsel in distress saves herself. This is an epic tale of true love and high adventure set in an alt-universe of action, history, fantasy, comedy, romance, and rompy-pompy. Buckle up.

 

 WHO IS AT THE ROYAL COURT?

At the centre of the series is the brilliant and headstrong Jane, played by Emily Bader, who is unexpectedly crowned queen overnight and finds herself the target of nefarious villains coming for the crown (and her head) in an epic tale of true love and high adventure, where the damsel in distress saves herself, her true love and then the Kingdom. Edward Bluemel stars as Guildford Dudley her future husband and Jordan Peters as King Edward. Dominic Cooper plays Lord Seymour, Anna Chancellor plays Jane’s mother, Lady Frances Grey, and Rob Brydon plays Lord Dudley, Guildford’s father. Jim Broadbent plays the Duke of Leicester, Jane’s uncle. Additional cast includes Henry Ashton as Guildford’s brother, Stan, and Isabella Brownson and Robyn Betteridge as Jane’s sisters. Kate O’Flynn and Abbie Hern portray the King’s sisters Princess Mary and Princess Bess. Máiréad Tyers, Joe Klocek and Michael Workeye also appear.
