THE MAN WHO STOLE PORTUGAL PERIOD SET HEIST MOVIE ADS DOMINIC WEST, RICHARD E. GRANT, JAMES NELSON JOYCE

  MAN WHO STOLE PORTUGAL
ADS DOMINIC WEST, RICHARD E. GRANT
Movie maker Thomas Napper has started production on his new period set heist movie THE MAN WHO STOLE PORTUGAL and has set Dominic West and Richard E. Grant as cast members with James Nelson Joyce as Alves Reis, a self-made outsider with a genius for turning a closed door into an opportunity. Shut out and underestimated, Reis is determined to give his wife Maria, played by Emily Fairn, and their family the life they deserve, and, hustle by hustle, he begins to invent his way upwards. From forged credentials to official contracts, his journey in the 1920s takes him via colonial backwaters all the way to the boardrooms of the Bank of Portugal – until his greatest bluff becomes one of the greatest cons in history. Joel Fry, Kim Bodnia also star.

  1. Uomo che ha rubato il Portogallo è la favola amara di un destino rubato che cammina con le tasche piene di sogni non suoi.
    Buon sabato

  2. I go straight to your blog now, Dezmond, because my reading list is running quite behind and I keep missing some of your posts. And I’m really glad I stopped by today because I would’ve hated to miss this one.
This looks really promising. And with that cast, you’ve completely sparked my curiosity. Dominic West has something that fits perfectly with these ambiguous characters where you never quite know what they’re capable of.
And I have to admit, anything connected to major real-life scams always pulls me in. There’s something fascinating about seeing how far someone can go when intelligence, ambition, and a total lack of limits come together. I’m adding this to my list, especially because stories set in the 1920s usually have such a special atmosphere.
    Thanks, and my daily hug.
P.S. I also want to thank you again for your testimony. Claudio mentioned you too today.

  4. Dezmond, don't you think this film has a strange title?
Unfortunately, the Serbian president didn't come to Moscow for Victory Day this year, but three leaders from the Republika Srpska did.

    1. I know, my dear, that he wasn't invited, nobody invites him anywhere anymore because they all realised he is a crook and a mobster, you Putyenka realised himself that our dictator secretly sells weapons to the Fascists in Ukraine, so he cut ties with him. He did send a secretary or something. The one from Republic of Srpska, Dodik is also a vile dictator, he turned Srpska into his own mafia domain, so Putya should not have invited him. We hope we will see the back of our dictator in foreseeable future and that all of his mobster government will be sent to jail forever.

  5. I sometimes with I had the balls to scam my way through life. It’s fascinating when you hear some of those stories that involved huge cons. Like the chick who made all of the wealthy socialites believe she was a German heiress but really she was just a con artist from the US.
