   GILDED AGE SERIES
FIRST SEASON THREE TEASER IS HERE
After announcing a slate of actors who have joined the third season of HBO's popular costume drama GILDED AGE back in August, we now have first teaser and the return date for the 19th century lavish high society of New York set drama. The third season arrives June 22nd with eight new episodes!
THE STORY OF SEASON 3
Following the Opera War, the old guard is weakened and the Russells stand poised to take their place at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry — if it doesn’t ruin him first. Across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes refuses to accept Ada’s new position as lady of the house. Peggy meets a handsome doctor from Newport whose family is less than enthusiastic about her career. As all of New York hastens toward the future, their ambition may come at the cost of what they truly hold dear.

The Russells invite him to dine at their home in the hopes of charming him into a business deal. Carrie Coon, Morgan Spector, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, Harry Richardson, and Blake Ritson will also be joined by Bill Camp, Merritt Wever, Leslie Uggams, Lisa Gay Hamilton, Hattie Morahan, Andrea Martin and Jessica Frances Dukes in the new season which arrives this summer.

    1. The costumes in the series are often fugly as holy hell, they went over the top at some point where it makes no sense and it fuglifies the characters.

  3. I was just thinking how a lot of the dresses look like old curtains they recycled. I do kind of like the white suit and the rose/white set on the black lady and her companion though.

    1. The costumes were nice in the first season and then the costume designer went overboard in the second creating some truly atrocious, vomit inducing gowns which looked humiliating on most of the actresses. It was too silly for me.
