'RUNESTAFF' EPIC SAGA
TO BECOME TV SERIES
|
The Runestaff has four novels so far |
Speaking of epic, 'Deadline' reports that
BBC Studios have bought TV rights on
Michael Moorcock's fantasy saga
RUNESTAFF which consists of four novels
The Jewel in the Skull, The Mad God’s Amulet, Sword of the Dawn and
The Runestaff. To be written by Sherlock and Dr Who scribe, it tells the story of a resistance force trying to bring down tyrannical rule and follow Hawkmoon, whose journey takes him from ghost-cities in the Syrian desert to pirate colonies in the American bayou; from caravans of mutant creatures in Carpathian mountains to the heart of the Dark Empire itself – the glittering city of Londra where the river runs blood red.
Your today's offer: fantasy and fantasy.
ReplyDeleteFrozen 2 looks like a girls' movie ; Runestaff more like a men's epic.
Why Frozen? everyone now is looking for some warmth. I was just talking today with someone about Weather as a terrorist who keeps people indoors like hostages.
yes, that is how I think of the weather in summer :)
DeleteI still have to see Frozen 1! Guess I'd better get my skates on!
ReplyDeleteIt was nice, but it is definitely overrated! The success of it hides in the fact you probably won't like :) - lil' girls still prefer pretty princesses to more feminist looking ones (which is why Brave and Moana weren't as successful as this one).
DeleteEven though Allison has outgrown her Frozen obsession, I'm sure this is one she'll insist we go see. I did like the first one, though I still don't know what the hype was all about. I much enjoyed other princess movies like Tangled, Brave, Little Mermaid, Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast much more.
ReplyDeleteBrave was my fave as well, the success of Frozen was in the beauty of Elsa, she is a classic Disney princess visually at least and we haven't had such in a long time. Highly stylized princesses score success. This is why I think they need to do a Russian fairy tale next, maybe Vasilisa Prekrasna or something.
DeleteMoor...cock?
ReplyDeleteisn't it delightful?
DeleteDo you remember that small post you made about "Stonerunner"? I found more in a site called "IML Digital Media" and it shows the traile1 I tried to watch said trailer, but it requires you to contact them. I did, but still nothing. Even logging onto Vimeo didn't work. Can you PLZ find a link on an acceptable watching site?
ReplyDeleteI've no idea what is happening with that one, sadly, even IMDB has stopped updating news on that film like three years ago.
