'GENIUS' SERIES SEASON 2
ANTONIO BANDERAS AND ALEX RICH TO PLAY PABLO PICASO
If you enjoyed the first season of National Geographic anthology series GENIUS in which Geoffrey Rush played Einstein, you will be happy
to hear that they have the cast for the second season which will focus on Pablo Picaso! Antonio Bande- ras and Alex Rich will play him older and younger. Cléme- nce Poésy (as French painter and author Francoise Gilot, who had two children with him), Robert Sheehan (as Carlos Casa- gemas, a poet, Picasso’s closest friend), Poppy Dele- vingne (as Picaso's lover and muse), Aisling Franciosi (as Fernande Olivier, a French artist and model who Picasso painted more than 60 portraits of) and Sebastian Roché (as Francoise’s tyrannical father) will also star! Some of the stars from the first season will return to the cast like, for example, Samantha Colley who will again play Dora Maar!
Alex Rich will play a young Pablo Picaso |
'KRYPTON' SF SERIES
BLAKE RITSON IS BRAINIAC
While we are still waiting for SyFy to announce the airtime finally
(it is not happening any time this year) their KRYPTON series is casting
new names! Da Vinci's Demons' Blake Ritson will be a baddie again
playing Brainiac, a parasitic, hyper advanced alien android of immense
intelligence, one of Superman’s oldest and most dangerous foes. As you
know, KRYPTON is set two generations before the destruction of the
legendary Man of Steel’s home planet following Superman’s grandfather
(Cameron Cuffe), whose House of El was ostracised and shamed, as he
fights to redeem his family’s honour and save his beloved world from
chaos. Paula Malcomson has also joined the cast as Charys, the matriarch
of House El who helps her son Seg navigate the treacherous pitfalls of
Kandor City, their Kryptonian home embattled with oppression and revolt.
It is interesting that the cast already has another Da Vinci's Demons
star Elliot Cowan. The pilot was shot last year in Serbia.
Blake Ritson will be a villain in Krypton |
Wow, those are some eyebrows on Alex Rich!
ReplyDeleteI think them caterpillars would've been even more lovely if he would cut his hair short
DeleteI thought Genius was just okay. I kind of felt like I was pushing myself to watch it sometimes. Now, Antonio Banderas is yummy, so maybe I'll like Picasso better.
ReplyDeleteJason just said it doesn't interest him, but we'll be watching it anyway lol
yes, some of them recent period set dramas were like that, I also felt like pushing myself to watch them, so I quit a lot of them, the latest one being that trash Gunpowder. I haven't watched Genius myself, I have a number of period set series that I did not manage to catch up on during summer and since I have gaps in my schedule currently I started Harlots last week, it has a lot of juicy nekkid bums in it
DeleteOooh, we do love juicy nekkid bums! With holiday movies that we've been watching, I am not going to be doing much telly watching the rest of the year, so I am super far behind on everything and will continue to be for the next few months. I did finally start to watch Fuller House though though, so that's a plus.
DeleteThe second season of Fuller House is all holiday themed, so that's a plus. I loved the second season even better than the first one and will be downloading the third one soon, methinks, probably when Will and Grace and Superior Donuts go on a Christmas break.
DeleteMy word, Antonio Banderas is still alive? :-D
ReplyDelete-Kati
barely after surviving Melanie Griffith :)
