CHARLIE COX, WES BENTLEY, DOUGRAY SCOTT AND OLGA KURYLENKO IN "THERE BE DRAGONS". CUTE NEW TRAILER FOR DISNEY'S "TANGLED"

Coming to cinemas later this year is a historical drama "There Be Dragons" which brings a thrilling tale from the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War with a great (and super hot) cast including Charlie Cox (the lead from "Stardust"), Wes Bentley (he was amazing in "American Beauty" and "The Four Feathers"), Dougray Scott ("Ever After", "Mission Impossible", "Desperate Housewives", "Enigma"), Rodrigo Santoro (Xerxes in "300"), gorgeous Olga Kurylenko ("James Bond", "Centurion", "Empires of the Deep") and lovely Lily Cole ("Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus"). The plot: Arising out of the horror of the Spanish Civil War, a candidate for canonization is investigated by a journalist who discovers his own estranged father had a deep, dark and devastating connection to the saint's life. Check out the intriguing trailer which promises a very touching drama.

You can also check out the second trailer for Disney's super charming animated movie "Tangled" the adaptation of the famous Rapunzel fairy tale about the kingdom's most wanted-and most charming-bandit Flynn Rider (Zachary Levi) who hides out in a mysterious tower and gets taken hostage by Rapunzel (Mandy Moore), a beautiful and feisty tower-bound teen with 70 feet of magical, golden hair. Flynn's curious captor, who's looking for her ticket out of the tower where she's been locked away for years, strikes a deal with the handsome thief and the unlikely duo sets off on an action-packed escapade, complete with a super-cop horse, an over-protective chameleon and a gruff gang of pub thugs :))

  1. Tangled looks very funny. I wanna see it now.

  2. I meant "stinks" in the quote above. "Stick" doesn't quite work. "It's an off day for me."

  3. This is not to be confused with the fantasy novel Here, There Be Dragons.

  4. I like historical dramas but this trailer does draw me in and I'm not that familiar with the Spanish Civil War and its aftermath. But maybe after I hear more buzz I'll be more intriqued.

  5. Unconvinced of Cox/Kurylenko's acting chops. Fortunately we have veterans Geraldine Chaplin and Derek Jacobi for balance. And I still think no one does the Spanish Civil War better than Guillermo Del Toro.

  6. There Be Dragons looks pretty awesome, but I was hoping it would have more to do with medieval maps, since that is where that phrase comes from.

    @Budd

    yes, I don't know much about Spanish Civil War either, except that Americans were very much intrigued by it

    @Jaccsy
    I agree that Cox and Olga haven't proved themselves as actors yet, but I also find Del Toro a horrible director :)

    @Matt
    no dragons and no maps in this one :)

  9. I'm looking forward to seeing Tangled. It's good to see Disney stepping up on their own, even with Pixar leading the way for them in terms of CG.

    I can't see Charlie Cox in anything other than Stardust, it's too weird :P

    and it's interesting how Disney is turning to old hand-drawn technique. I like that.

  14. You can't call a movie "There Be Dragons" and not have any dragons in it!!! (I liked the music though)

    But dang! Tangled looks AWESOME!! And they soooo got the lighting right (sry, the animator in me is coming out again). It looks like GREAT fun!

  15. Oh I've never heard of There Be Dragons but LOVE the cast!! Rodrigo Santoro, rrrrrrr :D

    I wish the trailer is a bit longer, but it's enough to wet my appetite. I'm not sold on Olga's acting chop, but Derek Jacobi's should make up for her I suppose.

    @Lynda
    oh, yes, I too like the lighting in TANGLED, lovely colours and shades as well.

    @Flixy
    yes, I'm not convinced on Olga's acting either, but the rest of the cast is simply amazing.

  18. My kids are chomping at the bit to see Tangled. Have to admit so am I. Looks like Robin hood meets Repunzel. Reminds me when I was a kid Marvel would run special editions of Team ups, like Spiderman and Iron man, who would otherwise never meet.

    Now that Disney owns Marvel, perhaps this is where they got the idea of teaming up childhood story characters. Maybe we'll see a Spidey and Iron Man duo together on the big screen sometime soon.
