As 'Deadline' reports a great battle was lead for the rights over the unusual fairy tale which follows the inhabitants of Castle GORMENGHAST a sprawling, decaying, gothic structure with a raft of characters including Titus, the heir to the throne of the House of Groan, scheming kitchen boy Steerpike and twin sisters Cora and Clarice. Almost twenty years ago BBC had a series on it with very young Jonathan Rhys Meyers.

breakfast foods, in front of Arthur’s (Judd Hirsch) old-school donut
shop. Although Arthur assumes she’s an entitled millennial, Sofia is
actually a hard working, enterprising, self made woman who has poured
every penny into her food truck business, which she plans to turn into
an empire!
Well, if you watched Netflix' ultra expensive and equally ambitious THE CROWN series, which also picked up a number of awards and nominations since it was aired last December, you will be happy to hear that Matthew Goode will join the cast of the second season of the series that follows the life of reigning British monarch Queen Elizabeth II.
As 'Radio Times' has found out, Matthew will be playing the society
photographer Lord Snowdon who was married to Princess Margaret in the
60s and the 70s. The second season will start from the 1956 Suez Crisis
all the way to the mid 1960s. That will also be the last season in which
Claire Foy plays the queen and Matt Smith her husband prince Philip,
because from season three the whole cast will be changed and replaced
with older actors in the later years of the queen's life. Returning in
November, season two will focus more on the two men in the queen's life,
prince Philip and their son Charles.

Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos all return for the new season which will see half of the Sky People at Polis and half at Arkadia with the earth about to become 96% uninhabitable due to radiation in just six months which means they won't just have to fight each other but also the black rain and lack of resources.

Two queens for you today, minions! You must first bow to the new queen of the Ice Nation, Nia, who was mentioned before but will appear for the first time in the new third season of popular sf series THE 100! Brenda Strong will play the Ice Queen who has ruled her people for many years while holding onto power through ruthlessness and savvy! She does what she must to maintain her power, even when it puts her at odds with those closest to her. Pop star Shawn Mendes will also appear in the first episode of the new season as he's playing a scrappy young Ark survivor who gets into a tricky situation and uses his particular talents to get out of it.

And I stand corrected since it isn't two but four queens today, having in mind that there are three of them in the third season of CW's historical series REIGN with Queen Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) getting into some wicked shenanigans with Queen Mary of Scots and France (Adelaide Kane) and queen Catherine de Medici (Megan Follows), for which you can see the first teaser trailer today! CW has moved the show to Fridays and has ordered only 18 episodes this season. They're obviously trying to spice up the story since the audience was left disappointed with the implausible behaviour of the main characters in the previous run. While his mother is trying to dethrone his wife Mary conspiring secretly with Elizabeth, French King Francis (Toby Regbo) will keep trying to help his cheating, treacherous spouse.
OTHER NEW CAST MEMBERS I've already reported that Tom Everett Scott will join the cast as Elizabeth's counsellor. The casting is currently on for the role of Elizabeth's lover Robert
Dudley and his wife Amy, as well for a pirate who will be the love
interest of Greer, Mary's flimsy lady in waiting. I've also already reported that Spencer MacPherson will play French prince Charles, and that Sameer Usmani, Nick Lee and Ben Geurens have also joined the cast.

A bunch of TV news today, people, starting with casting updates for CW's hit show THE 100! Have you watched it so far? It is set 97 years after a nuclear war destroyed civilization, revolving around 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet! But once down there they find primitive and advanced humans, both equally violent! The third season, which starts in early 2016, has cast Neil Sandilands (as Titus, an embodiment of the Old Guard, who works to preserve and protect his Grounder civilization), BLACK SAILS star Zach McGowan (as Roan, a rogue Grounder warrior who will stop at nothing to get what he wants), and Michael Beach (as Pike, a tough and charismatic member of the Ark with a staunch moral code).
ED SHEERAN JOINS
'THE BASTARD EXECUTIONER' EPIC TELEVISION SERIES Well some like his music, some think it's a suffocatingly mediocre
crap, but Ed Sheeran sure does have his eye on acting business and
movies. First he wrote the main song for one of THE HOBBIT movies, then
earlier this year he had a singing/ acting stint in NBC's UNDATEABLE
sitcom and now he will have a recurring role in FX's new epic series THE
BASTARD EXECUTIONER which will see Lee Jones playing a battle weary
mediaeval knight returning to the ways of violence in the midst of Welsh
rebellion. As 'Hollywood Reporter' writes, Ed Sheeran will play a
power hungry protege of a corrupt church official named Sir Corma! DIANE KEATON JOINS JUDE LAW IN 'YOUNG POPE' Meanwhile,
Diane Keaton will play a nun who lives in Vatican and who has raised
the first American pope played by Jude Law in new TV series THE YOUNG
POPE and who still has power over him! The HBO, Sky and Canal + series
tells describes the beginning of the Pontificate of Pius XIII, a
man of great power who’s stubbornly resistant to the Vatican courtiers,
unconcerned with the implications for his authority.
