HERE AND NOW described as an homage to the 1962 Agnès Varda film Cléo from 5 to 7, sees Sarah Jessica Parker in a praised role of a singer in New York who gets a grim diagnosis that puts her life and dreams into perspective. Directed by Fabien Constant (as his first feature movie), this touching drama had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier last April 19! Simon Baker plays Sarah's ex husband and Jacqueline Bisset is her mother.

Well, you gotta admit he is all over the place right now: while we're waiting to watch Dwayne Johnson in new BAYWATCH movie, and also in FAST AND FURIOUS 8, while hearing his voice this winter in MOANA, and then also seeing him as Black Adam in SHAZAM and in JUMANJI reboot, yet another reboot he might appear in is MAGNUM P.I. but what is most interesting is that Universal apparently wants him as their WOLFMAN in their monster franchise which started with Luke Evans' DRACULA UNTOLD and continues with Tom Cruise's THE MUMMY. The franchise will also have Johnny Depp as THE INVISIBLE MAN and also Van Helsing and Frankenstein reboots. Dwayne will also play DOC SAVAGE in a movie and has SAN ANDREAS disaster movie sequel to do.

In TV news, here's a funny sounding project: 'Deadline' reports that Amy Poehler will produce a new comedy series THE BABY for NBC with Seann William Scott in the lead role.  He will headline the series as the youngest male in an organized crime family of all women. Though he’s tough at work, his mother and seven older sisters mercilessly push him around at home! NBC has ordered a pilot episode.

AMC has also found a lead for a series of their own: 'Deadline' reports that martial arts epic fantasy drama BADLANDS will have Daniel Wu as the lead!  The six episode series, loosely based on the Chinese tale 'Journey To The West' is set in a land controlled by feudal barons, telling the story of a ruthless, well-trained warrior named Sunny (Wu) and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment. And it will be his directorial debut, romantic drama BARTON & CHARLIE & CHECCO & BILL (yes, it might be advisable for him to change the title). Friend also wrote and will produce this story that follows a down on his luck con-artist who meets a woman who he offers to teach the tricks of his trade. She turns the tables on him and they embark on a road trip, along with a 10-year old Mexican boy, where they are pursued by a Confederate newspaper mogul, Bill.

Speaking of romantic comedies, Sarah Jessica Parker's upcoming movie ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME has added Italian hunk Raoul Bova in the cast of the film which has just been sold to a huge number of countries around the world. The movie will see Sarah Jessica Parker playing Maggie,the uptight woman on a road trip to Italy, who is chasing down her rebellious teenage daughter (Rosie Day) who is trying to return to New York, while the mother of Maggie’s lover (Italian legend Claudia Cardinale) has a romantic pursuit of her own. Raoul Bova is playing Maggie's old Italian fling who is helping her on her road trip.

Here's a piece of info I didn't have time to publish over the weekend: according to 'Deadline' Sarah Jessica Parker will take the lead role in romantic comedy ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME! Swedish directress :) Ella Lemhagen will helm the movie which is to be shot entirely in Italy. Sarah Jessica Parker will play Maggie, an uptight American woman on a road trip throughout Italy with her Italian former lover Luca who is helping her find Maggie’s rebellious teenage daughter. You've probably heard by now that SEX AND THE CITY might also get its third part in the future and Sarah might again play Carrie Bradshaw, one of the most self observed of the TV characters ever.

'ST PATRICK' EPIC MINI SERIES
In TV News, Len Wiseman (UNDERWORLD, SLEEPY HOLLOW) will produce historical mini series on ST. PATRICK, the protector of Ireland! To air at Fox, the epic series will explore Patrick‘s dramatic transformation from a rebellious teenager into a legendary peacemaker chronicling his story as a slave who becomes a priest, a priest who becomes a warrior, and ultimately a warrior who becomes a saint. Born in Great Britain in the 5th century, he was abducted by Irish pirates at age 16 and was taken to Ireland where he was enslaved for six years before escaping to return to his family. Acting on a vision, he goes back to Ireland as a Christian missionary and would go on to become one of the symbols of Ireland, with the date of his death, March 17, observed around the world as St. Patrick’s Day.

Beside YOUNGER TV Land has also officially ordered ten episodes of IMPASTOR sitcom which will see Michael Rosenbaum playing Buddy, a man in debt who cons a small town into believing he is their new gay pastor. Sara Rue stars as Buddy's assistant, while Mircea Monroe plays Alexa Cummings, the head trustee of Loomis Lutheran Church who has a crush on Buddy.  Aimee Garcia appears as LeeAnne, a bartender from San Francisco and Buddy's girlfriend.
