TO LEAD NETFLIX MONSANTO MOVIE

It does not yet have a title but John Lee Hancock's Netflix movie on Monsanto has a strong cast. Joining Jonathan Bailey and Laura Dern are Greg Kinnear and David Duchovny. The courtroom drama is based on the true story of Brent Wisner (Jonathan Bailey), a young, untried attorney who takes on a seemingly insurmountable case against Monsanto on behalf of Dewayne “Lee” Johnson. Wisner’s client alleged that he developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma as a result of his exposure to Monsanto’s best-known product, the weed and grass pesticide killer Roundup, through his job as a high school groundskeeper.

I thought I should remind you of this week's new shows beginning with SUMMERWATER which starts tonight on Channel 4 set against the backdrop of a remote loch-side Scottish holiday cabin park and exploring the simmering tensions between holidaymakers that eventually erupt into a devastating climax. Weaving together the lives of several families as they navigate unspoken conflicts, private dilemmas, and fleeting moments of beauty from their disparate cabins the story flashes back to dramatic events in key characters’ lives before their holiday which may have consequences in the present.

 

 

COOPER AND FRY ON CHANNEL 5

Channel 5 begun, earlier this Tuesday, airing their new series COOPER AND FRY set in the mystery shrouded Peak District,  where DC Ben Cooper (Robert James Collier), an affable local, is thrown together with guarded newcomer DC Diane Fry (Mandip Gill), to investigate a string of mysterious deaths. As their personal lives begin to intertwine and past scars look to be healed, a unique friendship is formed. While Cooper and Fry unearth old rituals and beliefs, they must rely on each other to not only bring justice, but to survive.

 

 

PRIME VIDEO'S MALICE

Prime Video has our dear Jack Whitehall as a manny in their new six episode thriller series MALICE which started this Friday. He plays a rather hot and charming tutor who infiltrates a wealthy family's life, revealing a sinister agenda. As his vengeful plot unfolds, the family must confront the enemy living under their own roof. David Duchovny and Carice van Houten play the parents of the family.

Malice starts November 14th at Prime Video

Seems like we have been waiting for this one for years,  but Prime Video new series MALICE which actually pits Jack Whitehall against David Duchovny with Carice van Houten as his wife is ready for streaming from November 14th and we also have the trailer for it below.

Set in London and Greece, the series is full of dark family secrets, manipulation and betrayal, asking the question: Why does Adam despise Jamie Tanner so much?

 

WHO IS IN THE CAST?

The X Files star David Duchovny stars in the series as head of the wealthy family Jamie Tanner, Carice van Houten as Nat Tanner, Jamie’swife, and Harry Gilby, Teddie Allen and Phoenix Laroche will portray their three children. The cast of the new series also includes ChristineAdams  as Nat’s best friend Jules, Raza Jaffrey as Jules’ husband Damien and newcomers Rianna Kellman and Jade Khan as Jules and Damien’s daughters.

Rosaline arrives to Hulu October 14th

Hulu has released a trailer for their new period set comedy movie ROSALINE based on Rebecca Serle's bestselling book about Romeo's ex Rosaline. Arriving to Hulu October 14th, it is a fresh and comedic twist on Shakespeare's classic love story "Romeo & Juliet," told from the perspective of Juliet's cousin Rosaline (Kaitlyn Dever), who also happens to be Romeo's recent love interest. Heartbroken when Romeo (Kyle Allen) meets Juliet (Isabela Merced) and begins to pursue her, Rosaline schemes to foil the famous romance and win back her guy. Karen Maine sat behind the helm of this one.
