WHAT IS THE SERIES ABOUT?
Set in
California’s Salinas Valley over a period that stretches from the
Civil War to the end of World War I, the epic novel
tells the interconnected stories
of the Hamilton family, an Irish
immigrant family with nine children, and the Trask family, lead by the
wealthy Adam Trask (to be played
by Abbott in the
seven part series). The story eventually narrows its
focus to center around the Trask family and the drama surrounding Adam,
his wife Cathy and their sons
Cal and Aron. Beside the new images from
the series you can also check out the rather epic teaser
trailer below and tell us what you think, will you watch?

ReplyDeleteSomething to look forward to this Autumn!
DeleteWanting to watch it only because I got hold of the 1980 minisrries and I will compare it. I see that Zoe Kazan chose to go her father's way and cut the book in half, so we won't get to see what an evil woman Cathy was
ReplyDeleteI will only watch it for Mike Faist, Poo does not interest me at all.
DeleteThe same here, I can't believe they would have Puke in Jane Seymour's slippers.
DeleteThe castings are beyond weird these days, just look at that trash Odyssey.
DeleteI like all the photos and costumes, Dezmond.
ReplyDeleteThey are atmospheric.
DeleteGracias por la reseña. Deseo verla. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteBe welcome.
DeleteI read John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath and The Winter of Our Discontent.
ReplyDeleteI read Grapes, but not East of Eden, not a fan of his, must admit.
DeleteYou know how we feel about Poo, but I will watch this one because the trailer does interest me. Enough to overlook her in the cast.
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing else to watch in October, sadly.
