POWERLESS YA SAGA
TO BE TURNED INTO FANTASY SERIES
Prime Video is set to create a rich fantasy series out of Lauren Roberts' romantasy trilogy that includes three books POWERLESS, Reckless and Fearless
that came out this year. Daphne Ferarro is adapting the first book for the first season set in the kingdom of Ilya where the Elites reign supreme with their breathtaking powers and hunt those without. Paedyn Gray, a powerless Ordinary, has spent years scraping by as a thief in the slums, hiding in plain sight after the King had her father executed. But when she inadvertently saves the life of Prince Kai, the cruel King’s second son and designated Ordinary hunter, she is thrust into the kingdom’s prestigious Purging Trials, a savage competition promising glory, riches, and a spotlight she has fought her whole life to avoid. The fascinating yet lethal Prince is dead-set on winning the trials Paedyn can barely hope to survive –
but soon the two realize that the biggest challenge they will have to face might just be withstanding the irresistible pull between them, a connection as profound as it is unthinkable…

Una saga di YA senza poteri affascina per la sua autenticità emotiva e la forza dei legami umani.
ReplyDeleteBuon sabato
Hope they won't ruin it like they did with Wheels of Time and Rings of Power.
DeleteNot for me, but my husband might find it interesting and watchable. We are about to finish Your Friends & Neighbors...still quite good. Hope there's a new season...
ReplyDeleteI think it was renewed, but I am not sure. Glad you are enjoying Apple tefau.
DeleteWhat gorgeous covers!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm with you about how they ruined WoT and Rings. We didn't watch either of them very long.
WOT was beyond terrible, Rings were nice in the first season, but the second one was beyond boring without focus on Galadriel. I literally slept through it.
DeleteI haven't read the books but the films and shows are never as good as the books in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteTruly never, with the exception of LOTR films.
DeleteNo he leído sus libros. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read sus libros either.
DeleteIt should be interesting. Prime is really getting in to some adaptations, lately. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteBe welcome.
DeleteThe covers are pretty, but sounds like every other YA out there these days. Allison might like this one, but I don't think it will be one I'll watch with her.
ReplyDeleteThe covers always look the same with these YA ones, always a sword and a crown....
DeleteSo true. And all of the stories are the same and so predictable. 17 year old girl caught in a love triangle is going to save the world... yawn. Allison had anxiety ordering at a restaurant when she was 17, as did many of her friends. Forget about saving the world LOLOL
DeleteMy editor said such books inspire girls to be stronger, but I find them utterly stupid, like why would a girl be exposed to fighting, she is a child still, also to sex as these days they have turned this YA genre into hardcore porn romantasy. And it is always a fugly girl for whom the hottest prince falls for... yeah right, he was waiting for you because you are so speshul....
