THE STORY REVOLVES
around Carl Morck, a former top-rated detective in Edinburgh assigned to a new cold case whilst wracked with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralysed and another policeman dead. Carl Morck tackles the cold case while turning an Edinburgh basement office space into a well-oiled machine full of misfit officers dedicated to cracking whatever seemingly impossible cases come across their desks.

Matthew Goode will lead the cast as Carl, Chloe Pirri will play a ruthless and ambitious prosecutor, Kelly MacDonald will play a police therapist, Mark Bonnar, our lovely Jack Greenlees, Clive Russell, Alexey Manvelov are just some of the names in a long list of the actors that will star in it.

  5. If I were cast into the basement, I'd probably be unmotivated to solve cold cases. Dead ends and no window views? No thanks.

    1. Reminds me of Mountain King by Anders de la Motte, the inspector in it is also sent to head the Department for Lost Souls and Orphaned Cases in the basement with a bunch of nerdy underdogs.

    2. Reminds me of Slow Horses sans the humor.

    3. I have never hitched a ride with the horses, sadly,

  6. Is this a British version of a Scandinavian thriller - or a Scandinavian thriller transposed to Britain (going by the name of the writer?).
