Kristen Johnston is returning to TV sitcoms
|
Kristen Johnston has joined new
Chuck Lorre sitcom at
Netflix in which
Leanne Morgan will play Leanne whose life takes an unexpected turn when
her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. Starting over when
you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in
mind, but with the help of her family she will navigate this new chapter
with grace, dignity and jello salad. In the 16 episode sitcom Johnston
will play her completely opposite sister Carol who twice divorced with no kids, and if there’s a
choice between going to church and going to a bar, she will always
choose the latter. Despite their differences, Carol is fiercely loyal to
her sister and is her ride or die.
Ooof, I'm thinking that while I love Tim Allen sitcoms, this really sounds like the same old same old. A mash up of Last Man Standing and Home Improvement. I'm sure I'll like it all the same, but was hoping for something a tad different. Froy Gutierrez is certainly adorable though!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking the same, it will be good only if he found some new writers, because the one he had in the last seasons of LMS were shitty as hell.I hope they will make Froy gay in the sitcom.
DeleteA gay element added in would be a lovely change of pace for him. But he is conservative and I can't see him going against that, sadly.
DeleteABC might force him to do it, I think the actor is gay in private life as well.
