FIRST RUPERT PENRY JONES AND JILL HALFPENNY IMAGES FROM CHANNEL 5
Channel 5 has sent us first images from their new six part thriller mini TV series THE FEUD that is currently shooting with the aim to air next year. THE FEUD introduces Emma and John Barnett
Rupert Penry Jones and Jill Halfpenny
(Jill Halfpenny and Rupert Penry-Jones) who, along with their teenage daughter Beth (Megan Trower), appear to live an idyllic life on Shelbury Drive. They’re close friends with their neighbours, Sonia and Alan (Amy Nuttall and Ray Fearon) and despite their foibles, are also fond of older couple, Derek and Barbara (James Fleet and Tessa Peake-Jones). The close friendships in this seemingly peaceful street prove to be not quite as harmonious as they seem. When Emma and John decide to add a kitchen extension to their house, things quickly start to spin drastically out of control. As objections to the plans are raised, unexpected skeletons and life-threatening secrets begin to rise to the surface. Laced with menace, The Feud reveals how Emma’s aspirational dream turns sharply into obsession, paranoia, and fear. One decision sets in motion events that have unforeseeable consequences for both her and the people living on her street.

  1. Well, good neighbours are caring and friendly, but they could cause serious problems if you did get too close.

    1. That is very much true especially as you cannot escape and avoid them if something bad happens.

  2. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Good fences make good neighbors. Though sometimes I wish Allison would date the boy next door because I think he's the nicest kid I've ever met. They'd never work though because their personalities and political views would clash too much.

    2. Sadly, he's not your type either, deary. Drives a pickup truck and makes a racket with his dirt bike hobby and is the epitome of 'Merica. His dad likes to hang a big ass Trump flag outside of their house. But the kid has always been so sweet, even when he was a tot he'd make sure to always wave hello. He comes to feed the cats when we're away for a weekend and ends up fixing things around the house or straightening up while he's here. Or he'll take out our trash and snow blow the yard if he's out doing his. Super thoughtful. I pray this is the kind of man she'll marry some day.

  3. Rupert Penry-Jones and Jill Halfpenny are solid actors though I've never heard her use an accent other than her native Tyneside one but then it's possible she's used a different one in a performance I haven't seen.

    1. She is sadly stuck to Channel 5 and will probably never go further than that, she does have that vibe of a daytime soap actress which is shy she never gets roles at BBC and ITV. Rupert on the other hand deserves so much more than doing insignificant little mini series for weekly airing. He obviously has a bad agent. He should have the career that Dicky Armitage currently has.
