SF WESTERN TV SERIES
In television news today, 'Deadline' writes that CW has ordered RED pilot. The potential show will be a western/sf hybrid described as a neo-Western drama about the first human settlement on Mars and life on this new frontier, centring on the relationships between the town’s female sheriff, a doctor and a criminal. It comes from THE MENTALIST producers.
BETHANY JOY LENZ IS SONGBYRD
And over at E! they have found lead actress for their first scripted series SONGBYRD. Lauren, writer of hit love songs, employs a small staff, including her sister, to enable and manage her eccentric yet wildly successful process. LOVELY LE WEEK-END TRAILER
JIM BROADBENT, LINDSAY DUNCAN
Reigniting the spark in the city of light, that is what happens in the deeply charming trailer for LE WEEK-END, a heartwarming, delightfully lovely British comedy drama which opens up in British cinemas October 11th! Always amazing Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan play a British couple who return to Paris for their 30th wedding anniversary. They are confronted with the difficulties that have been brewing over the long years of their marriage. But the magic of the French city will eventually remind them why they love each other and will ignite the sparks in their hearts again.Jeff Goldblum also stars in the film helmed by NOTTING HILL's director. Goldblum plays their friend who gives them a new vision on life and helps them revitalize their love.
I hope RED can fill the void that Firefly left.
ReplyDeleteit does sound like that type of show! Hope the lead actress will be reminiscent of my dear Inara :)
DeleteGAWD, Leona Lewis is smokin' hot!!!!! And, I'm coming up on my 30th wedding anniversary in a couple of years and if I look as old as that couple, I'm gonna shoot myself!!!!
ReplyDeleteLeona truly is one of the perdiest hummingbirds and so incredibly talented which is unusual in today's world of utter idiotic freaks such as Rihanna, Miley, Katie Perry, Britney, Christina.....
DeleteLewis is very beautiful
ReplyDeleteextremely! I had difficulties choosing a pic today, since she has tones of extremely beautiful ones, but I needed a pic of her standing for today's post :)
Delete"Le Week-end" looks charming. I love Jim Broadbent.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy that we're getting so many series and films with senior actors I adore those!
DeleteGreat singer Leona !
ReplyDeleteGreetings
the heiress to Celine Dion and Whitney Houston :)
DeleteHmmm, I thought Leona was just a one hit wonder. I never heard anything else of hers after Bleeding Love. Hopefully she does well with the acting thing!
ReplyDeletethat is because you're in USA, dear, you;'re missing a whole lot of great stars who are big in Europe and around the world.
DeleteShe had numerous hits after that, but it is true that her last album wasn't succesful enough mostly because she didn't have good support from her label.
Le-Weekend is for me. Broadbend and Duncan are such good actors and the story is perfect. Being married for a life-time is like this, you must remind yourselves of why you love each other and renew your passion as you grow old.
ReplyDeleteAlso the comedy in this is going to be good.
I guess that is the beauty of long love - renewing it constantly and building up the mountain from all the little moments you've spent together.
DeleteI fell in love with Broadbent's talent after his role in MOULIN ROUGE!
giddy up... great ladies... none of which i know, thank you.
ReplyDeletealways here to introduce you with the ladies.....
DeleteI like the sound of Le Weekend. And I do love Jim Broadbent. He's always fun to watch in film. :)
ReplyDeletehe is ever so delightful and brilliant. Loved him in MOULIN ROUGE and IRIS and tones of other flicks
DeleteI had wondered what happened to Leona Lewis.
ReplyDeleteshe had two singles earlier this year, but her music label didn't do much in promoting them :(
DeleteI'd love to see Le-Weekend.
ReplyDeleteRed looks interesting.
we do need us a new sf show :)
DeleteLe Weekend looks charming and sweet :)
ReplyDeleteit's sweet, isnt it? :)
DeleteRed sounds like it might be an interesting mix, and Le Weekend definitely sounds like my kind of movie.
ReplyDeleteWe watched the pilot for "Blacklist" and thoroughly enjoyed it. Looks like it's gonna be a winner.
I knew you would enjoy the trailer, Suse! :)
