The second season finale will arrive this November

Hulu has released a trailer for the second part of the second season of their RIVALS series which will continue season two with six more episodes from November 11th! Picking up after the gut-wrenching mid-series finale, Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara’s battle for the Cotswolds crown reaches fever pitch, while Rupert Campbell-Black is forced to confront his own personal demons. Against a backdrop of hedonistic parties, Bonfire Night chaos, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and a turbulent Christmas, affairs unravel, alliances fracture and rivalries intensify. Caught in the middle of the frenzied franchise war, Taggie O’Hara must find the courage to follow her heart, while those around her face the consequences of ambition, power and secrets that can no longer remain hidden. But as series two draws to a close, who will get their happy ending? The cast led again by David Tennant, Alex Hassell and Aidan Turner is joined by Rupert Evans as erudite headmaster David Hawkley, and Santiago Cabrera as Argentinian Polo legend Alejandro Mendoza. The third season has already been ordered.

ITV is ready to launch their new thriller series GONE Sunday March 8th. Set against the backdrop of a prestigious private school, a foreboding forest and the quiet sprawl of Bristol, a chilling mystery focusing on local Headmaster Michael Polly (David Morrissey), who becomes the prime suspect in his wife Sarah’s disappearance. An upstanding member of the community, Michael Polly is inscrutable and likes order and precision in his working life. Until, that is, he encounters super bright, gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy (Eve Myles), and a compulsive game of cat and mouse begins as she chips away at his veneer in search of the truth. With tension in the air, yet Polly not displaying any emotion, Annie’s suspicions are heightened the more she investigates. Something in her gut tells her all is not what it seems. Could he be capable of murder? And if so – why? Beneath the surface of the mystery, lies a deeper exploration of trauma, trust and the legacy of elite institutions. Truth and Treason is out this October

Angel Studios has released a trailer for their new historical action movie TRUTH AND TREASON which will open in cinemas October 17th starring  Rupert Evans, Ewan Horrocks, Ferdinand McKay, Daf Thomas and Sean Mahon. Originally enivisoned as a series but then turned into a movie, it revolves around Helmuth Hüebener, a 16-year-old boy whol forms a resistance group with his friends Karl and Rudi after witnessing the arrest of his Jewish friends by Nazis. Their brave actions lead them to face trial in Nazi Germany. Check out the trailer below for the film that was directed by Matt Whitaker and tell us what you think.

Coming from Angel Studios it will be a four part mini series TRUTH & CONVICTION based on a true story. Ewan Horrocks plays Helmuth Hübener, a teenager who led a resistance group with his two friends during World War II in Hamburg, Germany. Rupert Evans will play Erwin Mussener, the SS Agent. He is intent on hunting down Helmuth, a young resistance fighter. Ferdinand McKay and Daf Thomas will also star as Helmuth’s friends and fellow resisters Karl Schnibbe and Rudi Wobbe.

Do you like movie musicals? One of those will come to us from Baz Luhrmann's protege Diesel Schwarze. Titled ZIGGY it will star Dane DeHaan and Rooney Mara and it will have original contemporary music with the story which centres on a hunchback escape artist (Dane DeHaan) who arrives in New York during the mass culture boom of the late 1920s. As he falls in love with the fiancé (Rooney Mara) of a powerful media mogul, the story charts ZIGGY’s rise to fame and subsequent fall amid a romantic world crashing down on its own impossible idealism.

In TV news, British star Rupert Evans is the latest one to join THE MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE sf show at Amazon. In the alternative reality show in which USA is ruled by Nazi Germany and Japan, he will play an artist and an intellectual with a secret.
THE WALK UP SITCOM
NBC has bought THE WALK-UP comedy series about two 30 something couples — one with a baby on the way — who decide to buy and live in a Brooklyn brownstone together, creating their own version of the modern urban family.
RICKY JERVAIS IN 'GALAVANT'
Over at ABC, British star Ricky Gervais will play a wizard named Xanax in their historical musical comedy series GALAVANT which will see Joshua Sasse playing a knight who returns to his kingdom to take revenge on the monarch who stole his true love. John Stamos and Hugh Bonneville will also guest star.
