In the massive slate of
Disney's live action remakes of their animated classics, which usually end up being sadly miscast and unnecessary, here's one we'd be interested to see: the latest rumour has it that
Tangled will be getting a live action version following the famous fairy tale of
RAPUNZEL.
Ashleigh Powell, who penned
The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, is apparently writing a script for this one.
Rapunzel
follows the magically long haired princess who has spent her
entire life in a tower, but now that a runaway thief has stumbled upon
her, she is about to discover the world for the first time, and who she
really is.
In other live action remakes, Mulan is arriving this year and they've confirmed work on Aladdin sequel and also on Bambi live action movie and new Pinochio, with 101 Dalmatians being turned into a movie on Cruella De Vil's youth with Emma Stone. Little Mermaid has already caused the wrath of fans due to blackwashing the lead character.
