Early 20th century Paris movie from Pierre Salvadori VENUS ELECTRIFICATA will star French super stars Pio Marmai and Gilles Lellouche. Nero the Assassin star Marmai will be painter Antoine who has lost all inspiration and slipped into alcoholism since the death of his wife Irène (Imala Pons), a loss he blames himself for. Anais Demoustier plays Suzanne, a penniless sideshow performer pretending to be a clairvoyant, whom Antoine consults in a bid to connect with Irène. Antoine’s art dealer Armand (Lellouche), desperate to keep Antoine from falling apart, urges Suzanne to keep the ruse alive. She stages a series of improvised hypnosis sessions, claiming she can channel Irène in exchange for having her debts paid by Armand. An unexpected bond begins to grow.

eventually both dropped out and the project was retooled as a French language film. And it is probably for the better because French stars Gilles Lellouche and Melanie Thierry seem like such a better choice.

  BASED ON

  the best selling French language novel Soudain Seuls, this survival movie drama directed by Thomas Bidegain, follows a couple that must fight for survival after their boat is damaged in a sea storm and they become stranded on a cold, deserted island which was supposed to be their dream journey. The movie, which had a budget of over $20 million, is currently playing in French cinemas and will start opening in Poland, Germany and other parts of Europe till the end of this month and will move over to Russia in January.

Pathe Films has released a trailer for a new sequel in the ASTERIX AND OBELIX franchise, this time titled THE MIDDLE KINGDOM and arriving to cinemas next February with Guillaume Canet, Gilles Lellouche, Marion Cotillard and Vincent Cassel in the lead roles. It’s the year 50 BC.

The Empress of China has just been imprisoned following a coup d’état incited by Deng Tsin Qin, a traitorous prince. Helped by Finalthesis, the Phoenician merchant, and her faithful bodyguard Mai Wei, the Empress’ only daughter Princess Sass-Yi flees to Gaul to ask for help from two valiant warriors Asterix and Obelix, who are endowed with superhuman strength thanks to their magic potion. Our two inseparable heroes gladly accept to help the Princess save her mother and free her country. And thus begins a great voyage and adventure on the road to China. movie awaits. Out November 9th, Couleurs de l'incendie stars Lea Drucker, Fanny Ardant, in the movie based on a novel by Pierre Lemaitre!

In February 1927, the funeral of the wealthy banker Marcel Péricourt was held, which all of Paris attended. His daughter Madeleine is the only heiress, after the suicide of her brother Édouard Péricourt a few years earlier. Fate will befall her when her son Paul is seriously injured and becomes disabled. Without her ex-husband to support her, Madeleine will have to take over her father's business on her own. She receives advice from her uncle, the unscrupulous Charles Péricourt. Madeleine will have to face many obstacles, the adversity of men, greed, jealousy and corruption in a France and a Europe where totalitarianism is rising.

Speaking of family movies, over in Germany we have a delightful trailer for HUI BUH AND THE WITCH'S CASTLE (Hui Buh und das Hexenschloss) which arrives to cinemas as a sequel to their 2006 movie hit. 14 years have passed since King Julius moved in with Hui Buh at Burgeck Castle.
