Prime Video has started production on new Biblical series down in Greece and has unveiled cast for HOUSE OF DAVID which will depict the ascent of biblical icon, David (Michael Iskander), who eventually becomes
Michael Iskander, Ethan Kai and Ali Suliman will star
the most famous king of Israel. The series follows the once-mighty King Saul (Ali Suliman) as he falls victim to his own pride. At the direction of God, the prophet Samuel (Stephen Lang) anoints an unlikely, outcast teenager as the
Indy Lewis, Ayelet Zurer, Yali Topol Margalith will star
new king. As Saul loses his power over his kingdom, David finds himself on a journey to discover and fulfill his destiny, navigating love, loss and violence in the court of the very man he’s destined to replace. For one leader to rise, another must fall.

Saul's wife Queen Ahinoam will be played by Ayelet Zurer, Goliath by Martyn Ford, Indy Lewis stars as Mychal and Yali Topol Margalith as Mirab, Saul’s daughters, Ethan Kai as Jonathan, Saul’s son and heir
Louis Ferreira, Davood Ghadami and Oded Fehr will star
apparent. Oded Fehr is Abner, Saul’s advisor, Louis Ferreira is Jesse, David’s father, Davood Ghadami is Eliab, David’s eldest brother and decorated warrior in King Saul’s army, and Ashraf Barhom is Doeg, a mysterious Edomite.

  1. i resent Biblical epics (even Cecil B. De Mille's) but I have a soft spot for King David. I'm surprised to see no Blacks in the cast.

    1. There might still be some, I am more surprised with the choice for David, I mean he looks so random, like he has no screen charisma whatsoever, a very bland and boring choice, methinks, but we shall see.

  3. Should be interesting. It always kind of blows my mind that filmmakers have a built-in audience when using bible stories. Messing with the source material should be done very carefully.

    1. This one is more historical adventure than Bible, there was that series Of Kings and Prophets half a decade ago on ABC also on David and it was fun to watch, but David was super hot in it, Olly Rix is handsome, this one is not.
