FOUNDATION SF SERIES
EPIC SECOND SEASON IS HERE
Second season starts July 14th! |
IN THE SECOND SEASON
set
over a century after the finale of the first season, tension escalates
across the galaxy. As the Cleons unravel, a vengeful queen plots from
within to
dismantle the Empire. Meanwhile, Hari, Gaal, and Salvor
stumble upon a colony of Mentalics possessing powerful psionic abilities
that pose a threat to the very fabric of psychohistory. The Foundation
enters a phase of religious fervor, spreading the teachings of the
Church of Seldon throughout the Outer Reach and inciting the Second
Crisis: a full-scale war against the Empire. Amidst these monumental
events and happenings, the narratives of the four central characters intertwine as they
navigate treacherous crises, navigate shifting allegiances, and grapple
with complex relationships that will ultimately determine the fate of
humanity.
The second season will have ten episodes |

The season 2 still sounds boring to me LOL
ReplyDeleteI've barely survived the first one, it was so excruciating, visually pretty, but so dull, lacking in any plot and dynamics, with terribly cast female leads and uinteresting characters, just one terrible, pretentious mess.
DeleteI've read some of Asimov's short stories in my time (not recently) and enjoyed them but I'm not sure if I've read any of the Foundation ones. Lee Pace and Jared Harris are decent actors so it's a pity if they are wasted in this series. Off topic a bit but it's only a few years ago that I realised Jared Harris was the late Richard Harris's son.
ReplyDeleteHe is? I did not know that! He looks very old to be Richard's son LOL Ah, Hollywood and their nepotism. These days all of the stars are children of other stars it seems.
DeleteHe was born of Richard Harris's first marriage.
ReplyDeleteHe looks about the same age as his dear old late papa.... But maybe I am just being naughty, Jared has been oldish as long as I have known him.
DeleteI want to watch it :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for informing us.
DeleteI do like Lee Pace, but this one I skipped on because it just isn't my cuppa genre tea. Sorry the first season was a disappointment for you though!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to love it, but there was not a single thing to love in it, it was pure intergalactic garbagefest.
DeleteI'm surprised they got a season 2 then. Then again, the good stuff they tend to cancel early on and the trash they hang on to. Makes zero sense.
DeleteThe series is too expensive to be canceled and proclaimed a flop so fast.
