'SEAGULL' TRAILER
STARRING ANNETTE BENING, BILLY HOWLE & SAOIRSE RONAN
First trailer and exclusive poster have been released over at Entertainment Weekly for SEAGULL period set Anton Chekhov adaptation starring Saoirse Ronan and Annette Bening who plays an ageing actress Irina Arkadina who visits her brother, Pjotr, and son, Konstantin (Billy Howle) on a secluded country estate. As temperatures (and passions) rise in the throes of summer, Irina disrupts the placid social scene by introducing a successful novelist, Boris
(Corey Stoll), to Nina (Saoirse Ronan), a free-spirited young woman from a neighbouring estate. Nina ultimately falls in love with Boris, which causes a stir among
her peers — namely Irina’s son, whose affections for Nina come to a head as Boris seemingly chews up her heart and spits it out.
The movie is set to be released May 11th this year |
OMG...I loved the trailer for Seagull. And the SF one looks intriguing! Jessica Green is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteit will be such a gorgeous cast in Outpost, not unusual, since CW does tend to cast only stunners for their shows :)
DeleteSeagull yes! The trailer was lovely. The Outpost, probably not unless I run out of things to watch. Unlikely with how backed up I am though.
ReplyDeleteI usually look forward to summer series as it is most often a period as dead as a dodo when it comes to TV programme. But given how they're cramming up new shows into my schedule this spring (Durrells and Royals return next week and then Empire and The Terror later this March and possibly something on BBC too) it is possible I will be backed up for summer too :) I still have Marco Polo, Crown and who knows what else more from last year.
DeleteI always like to tell myself that I'll have more free time in the summer for telly watching, but it's NEVER the case. I feel like I'm even busier when the girls are home full time, event though they can pretty much take care of themselves. I will be making Mariah get a drivers license this summer because I'm not driving her butt back and forth to work every day all summer long. She'll be taking college classes too locally and I'll be damned if I play taxi when she's fully capable of driving herself.
DeleteI thought they get driving lessons at high school? Our parents here never drive us anywhere LOL they make us walk everywhere or just use the city bus, most kids have monthly bus tickets.
DeleteThey don't offer them at school anymore. They have to get them on their own now. We live in the county, so we don't have a city bus come near us. We don't have sidewalks out here either, so I don't let my girls walk anywhere. There's at least one death a year on the busy road by my house. I won't even let Jason take his bike out in our area for fear he'll get hit.
DeleteOh, yes, most of our kids ride bikes to school too. My parents, of course, never taught me how to ride one, so I ruined my hobbit feet walking twenty years for 10km a day at least.
DeleteMarvelous cast in "The Seagull." I thought Brian Dennehy was dead, but apparently he's not.
ReplyDeletewell he is not that old, only 79... :)
DeleteI wouldn't like to be a "lone survivor of a race", but I wish I had some kind of supernatural power like the beautiful Talon.
ReplyDeleteWhich power exactly? :) I'm always opting between teleportation, invisibility, mind reading and control over nature
