 THE DOG STARS TRAILER
FOR NEW POST APOCALYPTIC ADVENTURE
The movie is out this August
Ridley Scott has released a trailer for riveting, epic thriller THE DOG STARS set in a world where survival is instinct, but humanity is a choice. Jacob Elordi leads the story of Hig, a young pilot who, together with a military survivalist, Bangley, played by Josh Brolin, has carved out an efficient but isolated homestead in a brutal post apocalyptic world until a mysterious radio transmission spurs Hig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists. Based on Peter Heller’s captivating bestseller it also stars Margaret Qualley and Allison Janney and will be out August 28th. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think, will you be watching this summer?

  1. Like most trailers, this one is an invitation to watch the film. Then come the disappointments or the pleasant surprises, and there are plenty of both. I'm not sure whether I'll end up seeing it, although it's true that when Ridley Scott's name appears, it's hard for me to look the other way.
A curious thing happens to me with some actors and actresses. For no apparent reason, they trigger a kind of antipathy in me that I can't really explain, even when I fully recognize the quality of their work. Tom Hanks is one example. He has made fantastic films and delivered memorable performances, yet he has never quite become one of my favourite actors. Something similar happens to me with Jacob Elordi. I've seen several of his films and enjoyed many of them, but I still struggle to connect with him as an actor.
Anyway, I've wandered completely off the subject. A big hug.

    1. I cannot stand Elordi either, he is like a bit more tolerable version of Timothe Chalamet, but they are still both talentless and lacking in depth and acting chops. Tom Hanks is also godawful LOL I always thought his approach to acting is fake, extremely overrated, Denzel Washington as well.
Returning the hug! We missed you as we haven't seen you in at least five or our previous posts LOL

    2. Don't go all Pinocchio on me. I did comment on the fairy tale post, but you publish so much that it's impossible for me to keep up with every single post. And Blogger doesn't do a very good job of updating your posts either. I wish I could comment on all of them. Well, I'll make up for it with one hug for every post I haven't commented on.

    3. Blogger has been ever so nasty to us lately, Facebook too, sadly.

  3. I was out with the mention of Eldori. Unlike you though, I do have a fondness for Tom Hanks. I think it stems from my love of the movie BIG when I was little. It was one of those movies that I'd watch to escape from my shit childhood wishing I could be big and move to NY and have a cool penthouse with a lot of awesome toys. I still smile when I see a Zoltar machine.

    1. I have never seen that one, I think he was OK before Gump, after that he became intolerable.
