'BURIAL' WW2 FILM
Among the projects that will be offered to buyers at Cannes virtual market this month is WW2 story BURIAL which will have Tom Felton, Ian Hart and Diana Rigg in the cast alongside Niamh Algar and Tom Glynn Carney. Set in the last days of war it tells the fictional story of a small band of Russian soldiers led by intelligence officer Brana Vasilyeva (Niamh Algar), who are tasked with trafficking Hitler’s discovered remains back to Stalin in Moscow. Along the way, the unit is attacked by murderous German ‘Wehrwolf’ partisans and picked off one by one. Vasilyeva and her fellow survivors must make a last stand to ensure their ‘cargo’ doesn’t fall into the hands of their attackers and be buried forever to hide the truth.
'DRESSED FOR WAR'
ON VOGUE'S WARTIME EDITOR
Dressed for War will be based on Julie Summers' book |
Two very different kinds of WW2 stories!
ReplyDeleteTotally different.
DeleteBoth of these I'd like to see. Dressed for War more so than the first though. We do prefer fashion over watching people get picked off one by one.
ReplyDeleteHope they will choose some interesting actress for the role.
DeleteA prolific period for writers ... and screenwriters!
ReplyDeleteScripts written by life itself.
DeleteI wonder how Vogue is like back then. Both movies look interesting to watch
ReplyDeleteIt was more life advices than fashion, I assume. They say that Vogue is currently returning, sadly, to being a magazine for the rich elite not for all people.
DeleteThese both look great, but Dressed for War is definitely the winner. :) Although, I've never been a fan of Vogue magazine. I always feel like it's just pages upon pages of advertisements with no real substance.
ReplyDeleteGlossy mags do like their ads.
DeleteI like the sound of Burial!
ReplyDeleteShould be good.
