PRIDE AND PREJUDICE
TV SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT AT NETFLIX
|
Netflix has not yet confirmed the news
|
Or at least that is the gossip around the town: beside
The Other Bennet Sister series from BBC mentioned earlier this week and
Miss Austen series with Keeley Hawes over at BBC and PBS, it seems we are getting a TV series adaptation of
Jane Austen's
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE as well but this time over at
Netflix.
Dolly Alderton has already written the scripts for the 19th century novel adaptation that tells the story of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, who eventually fall in love but have to navigate various obstacles as Elizabeth’s father seeks a male heir. According to Deadline, the series has not been greenlit yet and Netflix has not confirmed the news. They already had an unsuccessful adaptation of
Persuasion with Dakota Johnson a few years ago.
Unsuccessful and Dakota Johnson go hand in hand, methinks. She's so monotone, I believe she only gets roles because of her nepo baby status.
ReplyDeleteI think she talked about it recently, as most of them she does not think it helped her...
DeleteIt definitely helped her. She is boring in her acting and her looks. There is absolutely nothing special about her.
DeleteLike all of nepobabies, she thinks she is.
