THE SERIES FOLLOWS
Malachi Kirby's
Hezekiah Moscow, who finds himself plunged into the vibrant and violent
melting pot of post-industrial revolution London's East End from
Jamaica. Drawn into the criminal underbelly of the thriving boxing
scene, he meets Mary Carr, (Erin Doherty), leader of The Forty
Elephants, the notorious all-female London gang, as they battle for
survival on the streets. As Hezekiah sharpens his new skills, he comes
up against Sugar Goodson (Stephen Graham), a seasoned and dangerous boxer, and the two are soon locked into an intense 
rivalry that spills out way beyond the ring. Steven Knight's drama also stars Francis Lovehall as Hezekiah's best friend Alec Munroe, Jason
Tobin as Mr Lao and James Nelson-Joyce as Edward 'Treacle' Goodson. Daniel Mays stars as William 'Punch' Lewis, Adam Nagaitis as the Earl of

I recognize Malachi Kirby because of his ears :-) Can't remember anything he played before, but I remember his face because of his funny ears. The trailer ain't that exciting though.
ReplyDeleteI do not remember watching him in anything before, but he is definitely very cute and very nice to look at. It is a very disappointing and short teaser, but bear in mind it does not air this year so it really is just a teaser because it will have a premiere at London Film Festival soon.
DeleteI don't mind a good boxing movie, if it's entertaining. I watched all three Creed movies and they were good.

DeleteI'm not a huge fan of men beating the crap out of each other in the ring, even though my grandpa was a semi professional boxer. You'd think some of those fighting genes would have passed down to me, alas, I don't like confrontation much less fighting. The teaser wasn't anything to write home about so another I'll probably end up passing on.
