NEW WW2 FILMS IN WORKS
WOLVES OF WAR MOVIE
A bunch of new WW2 set films have been announced recently, among them WOLVES OF WAR in which Ed Westwick and Matt Willis will play British officers who lead a team of allied commandos on a mission in Bavaria
near the end of the war to extract an American (Rupert Graves) held hostage by the Nazis. Giles Anderson is directing.

IMMORTAL WW2 ACTION
Paul Anderson is set to lead WW2 movie IMMORTAL set in 1945, and
following ex-soldier Aatami, played by (Jorma Tommila), who discovers
gold in the deep wilderness of Lapland. When he attempts to take
his
loot into the city, a squadron of Nazi soldiers led by a brutal SS
officer (Paul Anderson) get in his way and a battle for the gold ensues
between the lone soldier and the Nazis.This one is shooting this
September in Findland.

PILOT: A BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL
Russia prepares at least one WW2 film a year, and this year it will be THE PILOT: A BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL (Лётчик) directed by
Renat Devletyarov. The film, which has a USA distributor already, will hit Russian cinemas in November. The film centers on an IL-2 pilot, played by Pyotr Fyodorov (from Duelist, Stalingrad, Sputnik, Blackout), who, back in December of 1941, crash lands in a remote forest clearing after an air assault, and must find his way back to friendly territory while battling hunger and extreme cold and evading packs of wolves and Nazi soldiers. It is a gripping story of survival, bravery and sacrifice in the face of chilling circumstances, made even more riveting due to its depiction of actual historical events. Ed Westwick will always be most known as Chuck Bass, at least to me. I've seen him in a couple movies but still, that's the role he was quite unique in. 🙂

DeleteAnd if they accused him it automatically means he is guilty? If court clears you, you are clear in my book unless proven otherwise. Or else there would be no trust in anything in our society and we would have lynch mob rule. Which we already have in certain countries where you are proclaimed guilty by the media.

DeleteTwo more to add to Jason's ever growing list. I don't know Ed Westwick's personal issues, but I have seen a few of his interviews in passing and like Jax, thought he had an arrogant nature about him. Like a silver spoon baby that's used to having the world laid at his feet. I could be wrong, but something about him doesn't jive well with me.
ReplyDeleteHe was accused by three evil females of rape, and lost jobs because of it, but he was cleared at court. Yet, I don't think he will ever have the same career because the stain remains. It is disgusting how in today's lynch mob society you can destroy someone's life with false accusation and not get punished for it.
