British Great Point Media has set up a slate of new movie projects, and as Deadline reports today, some of them will star two of our super fave actors James Norton and Matt Stokoe! James, who is also executive producing, is supposed to lead their movie CHASING AGENT FREEGARD which is based on the true story of con man Robert Hendy Freegard, who masqueraded as an MI5 agent and fooled several people into going underground for fear of assassination by the IRA. Matt Stokoe will, meanwhile, join his colleague from Sky's popular 17th century series Jamestown Sophie Rundle in another of Great Point Media's new movies ROSE, a dark exploration of one couple’s relationship that examines the pressures of dependency, illness, guilt,
Matt Stokoe will write Rose and star in it
loneliness and love. Beside starring in it, Stokoe is also presenting himself for the first time as the writer of the screenplay.

DID YOU KNOW?
James Norton is currently shooting a 6 episode mini series THE TRIAL OF CHRISTINE KEELER, the story of Christine Keeler, who found herself at the heart of a political sex scandal that rocked British government in the 1960s. Matt Stokoe has shot the third season of Jamestown and you've seen him recently in BBC's 2018 best watched series Bodyguard and in Netflix' epic Outlaw King as baron Segrave.

  1. Chasing Agent Freegard is one that will grab Jason's attention. He loves those con man type of films.

  2. Chasing Agent Freegard reminds of what happened several years ago in Israel to a woman called Odetta Schwartz. Odetta, a writer, TV host, businesswoman ( a sort of Martha Stewart in USA)lived for some ten years with a man who claimed to be an undercover agent for the Mosad (israeli Intelligence Service). She believed him. When she became aware that he was a con, she was very ashamed of her credulity. After all she based her career on teaching other women tips and tricks, and giving advice to people in various fields. If this happened to her it could happen to anybody.

    1. I'm guessing love makes people blind and when you're in love you usually want to believe what you want to believe. There was recently the affair with that German journalist who worked for their Bild magazine. He was the writer of many award winning articles and reports from all over the world (usually from the warring regions) who captured people's hearts with his touching portrayals of the situation in the field. It later turned out that all of his articles were made up and fake, and that he never actually visited places he wrote about, nor met people he mentions in his articles.

  3. Yes, I've read about the german journalist.
    Amazing, of course.

Well,I believe in God, and as such I'm not really shocked by things like that. If God wants you not to see ,hear or understand, then this is what happens.

Odetta was in her chapter B. This guy (an alternative medicine practitioner) was her second husband. Usually, women in their second marriage are said to be more alert and careful. And she was not just another woman, but a kind of 'guru' (guide, expert) for the other women.

    1. Either she was blinded by love, or he was too good of a con :) Not all gurus are smart, remember Marta Stewart who ended up in jail over in USA even though she was a role model of a perfect women for many American wives.
