   ROONEY MARA TO LEAD
AUDREY HEPBURN BIOPIC
Yes, I'm a bit shocked myself as Mara has no charisma whatsoever, but Audrey Hepburn is next in line to get a biopic and Apple has unveiled that
Rooney Mara will star and also produce
Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name) will helm it with Rooney Mara producing and taking the lead role. Five time Oscar nominee Hepburn was born in Belgium and grew up in Netherlands during World War II when the Germans occupied the country. As Deadline writes, she studied ballet in Amsterdam in 1945 and then took part as a chorus girl in London’s West End. Her first film role was tiny in the 1952 feature Monte Carlo Baby. She then got the title role of the Broadway play Gigi, which earned her great praise. Her first leading role was 1953’s Roman Holiday for which she notched an Oscar, a Golden Globe Award, and a BAFTA Award. Other movies she played in include big screen classics such as Sabrina, Funny Face, The Breakfast at Tiffany's, Charade and the most famous My Fair Lady!

  1. Wait. Who has no charisma, Audrey Hepburn or Luca Guadagnino? I haven't watched Hepburn in much, but I do remember liking what I've seen her in. I am not familiar with Luca Guadagnino's work though.

    1. The first sentence connects directly to the title of the post LOL Rooney Mara, Geez LOL As soon as they announced her as the lead the backlash started all around the net, but she is the producer so she gave herself the role.

    1. There is no better comedy than a British one, especially those ensemble ones set at a family event. And both Russ and Hugh are hilarious and uber adorable.

  3. she may be the producer but Rooney has a harsh fae and eyes. nOthing like Audrey's delicate features and sensitive gaze.

    1. That is the general verdict across the web today! While searching for a photo of her I've noticed that she has a lot of photos done with Audrey's hairstyle, so it seems she's been obsessed with her for a while, but there is nobody to inform her that she looks nothing like her and has none of her talents. But if Rami Malek can play Freddie with his utter lack of talent I guess we can expect everything in Hollywood. Now that little prick Tom Holland wants to play both Bond and Fred Astaire.... these new generations have no insight into their own lackings and limits, I can tell you that. I swear I wouldn't be surprised if they cast Whoopie Goldberg to play me in a biopic....

    2. Guess we’ll have to call you Whoopie Cat LOL! Seriously, Tom Holland as my god Astaire? I don’t know if he is a prick, but he certainly is little in size and talent. James Bond, I don’t care, but Astaire? You are younger than I am, and yet you also notice a counter-evolution in terms of beauty, grace, charisma, you-name-it in the acting profession. I know beauty canons must evolve, and I come from a time when Ugly became Beautiful in showbiz (Streisand, Ringo, The Stones), but now it’s impossible for me to appreciate what Hollywood tells me are sexy or gorgeous. IT’s another reason I go for period pieces, in costume, even the least alluring tends to look good.
You were talking Pierce Brosnan before and memories overwhelmed me. Aside from having aged gracefully, that Irish Jewel filled the screen with his beauty. Whatever he played, villain, gay (he played both in The Fourth Protocol), etc... He had me drooling. They don’t make them like that anymore, not even in Continental series I have found that amount of sex-appeal.
Rooney Mara reminds me when Gal Gadot wanted to produce and act in a Hedy Lamar biopic. Sure, Gal and Hedy, both Jewish and stunning looking, but that’s not enough. Thank Heavens, reason prevailed and Gadot was dissuaded from doing something that was more of an ego-trip than a viable project.

    3. Better Whoopie than Kristen Stewart or, God forbid, Chalamet....
Yes, Holland is already preparing for Astaire role, and apparently he also pitched a script of his own in which he would play Bond in origins of 007, but the studio told him to kindly eff off, thankfully.
Piercy is one of a kind... I do think some of young British lads could grow into becoming such hot refined gents, Jack Lowden maybe, David Oakes, my boos Leo Suter and Tom Weston Jones, Dicky Madden certainly, but I hope Brits won't lose their acting school under the attacks of mediocre 'talent' from USA.
Gal is, I think, still working on Hedy project, that and Cleopatra, which will, as she said it last week, be filled with modern feminist ideals.... Maybe we should kill ourselves while we still have time loooool.... She will turn an ordinary doxy who married everyone she could for power into a strong, independent woman she never really was.... oh, well, guess we won't see her rolling out of the carpet in front of Marc Anthony.... or was it Caesar?

    4. It was Old Julius, but who cares? History seems to be absent from most period pieces nowadays. It's npt honest historical licenses like in tHe Club or Sun of the Wolf, a Russian series that I reccomend you (after talking about noble and heroic protagonists).
I take David Oakes, but nobody gets close to Pierce's Celtic charm. You know, i'm fond of David Tennant but he is so woke, it nauseates me.

    5. Russians do have lovely shows and films and TV programmes too, I very much like their Voice too.

  4. WoW what a big and unique role! We know her from "Carol" here. Yes Rooney Mara is a good choice.
