And yet BBC turned it down two years ago for not having black characters in it, racism much? Now they can only cry watching Channel 5 scoring success that BBC would dearly like to have :)
Jason will kill me if I sign up for another streaming service, but I will be looking for torrents of this when I have time to binge watch what's already aired.
This one is on PBS Masterpiece, so you already have it if you are on Amazon, but even if you don't PBS would be the first thing to have as they air all these lovely period set dramas over at your side of the pond. Poldark included.

i'm not surprised. ACGAS is an example of what the government has demanded from the BBC, shows that support "british"values and culture.

Deletei didn't know that fact. It thrills me to see them crying.
DeleteThey deserve it! They have not had a hit outside crime genre for years.
DeleteJust finished the season two..still find the original one was better though.
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the original, but I find this one cute and much needed, although the scripts could be more dynamic and original.
DeleteI dont know this film series before but its trailer looks nice.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very lovely family show.
DeleteI still want to see this one, but I need to stop being cheap and pay for PBS on Prime. I did see the first episode and loved it.
ReplyDeleteIt is a lovely series that you can watch with the kids without being ashamed of anything. Probably the only such show currently on TV.
