EMPRESS SISI ARRIVES TO VIENNA IMPERIAL COURT IN THE FIRST SET PHOTO OF DOMINIQUE DEVENPORT IN NEW EPIC TV SERIES

SET PHOTO HAS ARRIVED
After the first official royal stills, Beta Film and German Now TV have released the first set photo of Dominique Devenport as the famous empress SISI in the new historical series which will air on France's TF1,
The series will air in six hourlong episodes
Austria's ORF and also RTL and Now TV in Germany. The six episode series, planed to air before the end of the year, will follow the infamously vain Empress Elisabeth, nicknamed Sisi, who was basically a pop star and influencer of her time at the end of the 19th century, and a beauty icon in Europe! 

SISI circles around the tomboy and Bavarian princess, who, after her marriage with Franz Joseph I, Emperor of Austria, discovers life at the Habsburg court in Vienna is not at all what she expected. Sisi fights against the strict and even cruel regime at court and for her ideals. Franz, the love of her life, is a man whose emotions and feelings are suppressed by the façade of a strict and brutal ruler.
First look at Dominique Devenport at the sets of the new series
Beside Dominique Devenport in the title role, the series will also see Emperor Franz portrayed by Germany’s Jannik Schümann. The cast will also have Désirée Nosbusch in the role of Archduchess Sophie, the mother-

in-law of the young Empress, and Julia Stemberger as her mother Ludovica and Tanja Schleiff as famous Countess Esterhazy. The series, which has started shooting in the Baltics will continue production also in Austria, Hungary and Germany.

    1. She was a fashion icon of her age, she was famous for her hair too and the fan merchandise about her sold like crazy around Europe even in the 19th century, like paintings, plates, medallions etc.

  6. I'm with everyone else.. I absolutely adore the costumes. Although, I still agree with my previous comment on this show. The lead isn't who I would pick to portray this character.
