Lively and Jason Clarke will play a married couple who find that their relationship changes dramatically when Lively's character regains her sight after previously being blind. WORLD WAR Z director Marc Forster is also set to helm RED RISING adaptation of Pierce Brown's bestseller (which yours truly spy is translating right now) about a future in which humanity is separated into colours which dictate their position, wealth and duties.

In TV news, I've recently announced that NBC is preparing new sitcom HOW WE LIVE and now 'Deadline' reports that Sam Huntington has taken the lead role of Russell, a blogger who writes about his new life after moving to the suburbs in the style of an anthropologist who’s stumbled on an undiscovered tribe! Chris Klein will play Russell's friend Matt, who helps the blogger settle into the neighbourhood. Lindsay Price and Jared Gertner portray married couple Claudia and Dennis!

Another of NBC's pilots that I've announced earlier UNVEILED also has new cast members. In the new series which will revolve around a group of guardian angels trying to restore the faith in people who are in crisis, VAN HELSING's Will Kemp will play a fallen angel named Lucas, who uses his charm to corrupt humans, while GLADIATOR's Connie Nielsen has signed on to feature as Joan, the boss of the guardian angels.They join SPARTACUS star Liam McIntyre who will play Michael Hunter, one of the angelic creatures who is described as a warrior and rebel!

In today's TV news, people, CW has found cast members for their two new series projects: first, as 'Deadline' reports, Andrew J. West from THE WALKING DEAD will lead their new show DEAD PEOPLE from J.J. Abrams playing Floyd, down-on his-luck, semi alcoholic but roguishly charming cab driver. After a near death experience when he is pronounced dead following an accident but is revived two minutes later, Floyd suddenly has the ability to interact with ghosts, including his late ex-wife who he has never gotten over.

CW'S POST APOCA- LYPTIC SERIES 'CORDON' FINDS ITS CAST
Another of CW's series pilots CORDON, will have David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood and Kristen Gutoskie in the lead roles of the series that chronicles the aftermath of a deadly epidemic outbreak in Atlanta. Gyasi and Moses will play the central characters with Gyasi as Atlanta police major Alex “Lex” Carnahan, a resolute, loyal and good hearted police officer who’s responsible for maintaining the cordoned area. Christina Moses plays Jana, Lex’s capable girlfriend, who’s trapped inside the CORDON in an Atlanta office high-rise. Chris Wood is set to play Jake, a former renegade turned cop and Lex’s best friend who finds himself trapped inside the cordon. Kristen Gutoskie plays Katie, a twenty something school teacher and single mother who’s trapped inside the walls of Atlanta Midtown Hospital.

BBC'S epic mini series on Tolstoy's WAR AND PEACE has new cast members! As I reported last year historical saga set in 1805 Russia following five aristocratic families against the backdrop of the reign of Alexander I, the lingering effects of his grandmother Catherine The Great’s rule and the events surrounding Napoleon’s invasion of Russia in 1812, will have Paul Dano as Pierre Bezukhov, James Norton as Prince Andrei Bolkonsky, while Lily James is set to play Natasha Rostova. Stephen Rea will appear as Prince Vassily Kuragin, Ade Edmondson (Prey) and Greta Scacchi as Count and Countess Rostov, and Jack Lowden (The Tunnel) as Nikolai Rostov. Tom Burke (The Musketeers) will star as Dolokhov and Aisling Loftus (Mr Selfridge) has been cast as Sonya. Now they're also joined by Gillian Anderson as Anna Pavlovna, Jim Broadbent as Prince Bolkonsky, Kenneth Cranham as Uncle Mikhail, Aneurin Barnard as Boris, Tuppence Middleton as Helene, Callum Turner as Anatole and Jessie Buckley as Prince Marya. The first trailer has been released for British drama A ROYAL NIGHT OUT which is out in May in UK. This drama, which follows Princess Elizabeth and Princess Margaret as they party with the public during the historic VE Day celebrations in 1945, has a star studded cast with Rupert Everett and Emily Watson playing King George and Queen Elizabeth, and Sarah Gadon and Bel Powley starring as the princesses. Jack Reynor stars as Jack, a man who the princesses meet during their time outside the gates of Buckingham Palace. A ROYAL NIGHT OUT is based on true events, which saw the young princesses granted permission to mingle with the British people following the end of the Second World War.

France, 1940. In the first days of occupation, beautiful Lucile Angellier is trapped in a stifled existence with her controlling mother in law as they both await news of her husband: a prisoner of war. Parisian refugees start to pour into their small town, soon followed by a regiment of German soldiers who take up residence in the villagers' own homes. Lucile initially tries to ignore a handsome and refined German officer staying with them. But soon, a powerful love draws them together and leads them into the tragedy of war. We're in the middle of the casting season for future comedy pilots (the first episodes of possible new sitcoms) and the spy is bringing you the latest updates today on the stars who will take the roles in them. Definitely the most starstudded of them will be NBC's multi camera pilot (multi camera means with audience and laughter, single camera being without it) which is still untitled but I informed you previously that it will star Monica Potter as Bridget, a woman who juggles her busy family life as well as her three ex husbands, which proves to be difficult when she starts dating again. The names of her three husbands have been revealed: Eddie Cibrian will play Jason, Bridget’s first ex husband, a slick professional gambler. Donald Faison plays Bridget’s second ex husband, the very earnest Kevin, who is positive and upbeat at all times, and a staunch protector of the environment who is also “accidentally” extremely wealthy. Rory Scovel plays Robert, Bridget’s third ex husband. A pompous writer and college professor, Robert went to Harvard and can’t wait to let everyone know it. Josh Hopkins plays Tom, a veterinarian in the midst of mutual attraction with Bridget, an animal lover.

When it comes to Fox, according to 'Deadline', they have hired Josh Peck to lead the untitled new sitcom with John Stamos who plays Jimmy, a charismatic longtime bachelor whose life is upended when he discovers he’s a father — and a grandfather. Josh Peck will be the son Jimmy didn’t know he had – a sweet unemployed techie who is himself the proud and surprisingly capable father of a two-year-old daughter, the product of a one-night stand with the sexy Vanessa.

Another untitled comedy pilot, but at ABC, has cast Skylar Astin whose previous sitcom GROUND FLOOR has been cancelled. The new sitcom will be an NBA buddy comedy about an NBA rookie who doesn’t speak English and a translator who doesn’t speak basketball. Skylar Astin is the translator, Jason, a sweet and a little wimpy guy with no athletic prowess who is working as a teaching assistant and living in his parents’ basement when he is recruited by the NBA team. A munchkin among giants in the world of professional basketball, Jason soon discovers that he’s being paid to be a lot more than just a translator. He also must be the new player’s 24/7 guide, best friend, mentor and protector, and he also has to find a way to light a fire under this incredibly tall and talented athlete who seems to lack drive.

Over at CBS, one of their strongest new comedy pilots is LIFE IN PIECES about one family, the Shorts, as told through the separate stories of its different family members. Colin Hanks and Betsy Brandt will play the other two siblings, while legendary Dianne Wiest will appear as their mother who adores her family and would do absolutely anything for them — as long she agrees with it. Zoe Lister Jones (FRIENDS WITH BETTER LIVES) plays Greg Short’s (Hanks) wife Jen, a woman used to being in control who now has a baby and finds for the first time she’s not.. As 'Deadline' reports, one of our favourite hunks, and we do love them Australian, don't we, 300 RISE OF AN EMPIRE star Sullivan Stapleton will be the lead star of NBC's new pilot BLINDSPOT! Stapleton, who was the most wanted star in this pilot season, will lead the show together with THOR's Jaimie Alexander who will play a beautiful woman, Jane Doe who is found in the middle of Times Square in New York City with her memory wiped and no clue as to what the extensive tattoos on her body mean. Sullivan Stapleton will play FBI special agent Kurt Weller, the leader of an elite FBI unit who is called in from a mission to investigate the woman — who, among all the tattoos, has his name written on her back. Rob Brown (Treme) and Audrey Esparza (Public Morals) will play members of his team.

WALTER SCOTT'S 'IVANHOE'

TO GET NEW MOVIE ADAPTATION
When it comes to our favourite epic genre, writer Irvine Welsh (TRAINSPOTTING) and director Jon S. Baird will adapt one of the most legendary of historical novels Walter Scott's IVANHOE!  As you probably remember from the famous 1950's movie with Joan Fontaine, Elizabeth Taylor and Robert Taylor, the story follows a worthy and noble knight who returns to England after the third Crusades. He fights to restore the good King Richard, believed to be held captive in an Austrian prison, and depose Richard’s wicked brother John. In this new take on the story, IVANHOE and his fellow returning knights are suffering to different degrees from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder following their ultimately failed exploits against Saladin and his successful recapturing of Jerusalem.

'OCTOBER GALE' TRAILER

In today's casting news one of the historical series we're anxiously awaiting THE CLAN OF THE CAVE BEAR prehistoric saga at Lifetime has found two gents who will join Millie Brady in the series based on Jean M. Auel’s series of best-selling novels in which the story takes place at a time in prehistory more than 25,000 years ago when Neanderthals shared the planet with the first early modern humans and a band of cave dwellers adopts blond and blue-eyed Ayla (Millie Brady), a child of the “Others.” As Ayla matures into a young woman of spirit and courage, she must fight for survival against the jealous bigotry of Broud, who one day will be clan leader. Hal Ozsan (THE BLACKLIST) has been cast as Brun, the leader of his Clan, while Johnny Ward will be Broud, the son of Brun.

Speaking of science fiction series, 'Deadline' reports that superhero comic book DREADSTAR will be developed into TV series penned and produced by comic artist and creator Jim Starlin (Guardians Of The Galaxy, Captain Marvel)! This space opera centres on Vanth Dreadstar, sole survivor of the entire Milky Way galaxy, and an ensemble cast of crew mates, including cyborg sorcerer Syzygy Darklock, and their struggle to end an ancient war between two powerful, evil empires: The Church of The Instrumentality, run by the Lord Papal; and the Monarchy, administered by King Gregzor.

In the sea of Biblical series coming to TV this spring, yet another will be National Geographic Channel's historical series KILLING JESUS which just got its first trailer! To air March 29th, this three hour series will see Kelsey Grammer leading the star studded cast as King Herod! He will play the unrelenting and ambitious Roman King of Judea, who attempted to kill Jesus (Haaz Sleiman) at his birth, in the story which will chronicle the life of Jesus of at a time of intense political and social and conflict in the Roman Empire that ultimately led to his  death!
