'DOMINION' 2ND SEASON
SIMON MERRELLS JOINS TOM WISDOM IN THE SF SERIES
Since we still have no interesting news coming from Tinseltown this week, we're sticking to the small screen updates, starting with the one coming from SyFy: they've found a new cast addition for science fiction series DOMINION which stars our dear Tom Wisdom as archangel Michael who leads people in the battle against his brother Gabriel in a future world in which people live in walled cities trying to survive. The second, 13 episode, season will have dashing SPARTACUS star Simon Merrells playing Julian, the leader of New Delphi (one of the remaining fortified cities) who will do whatever it takes to preserve the city!

  1. I don't think I've ever heard the term "space opera" before. Kinda like a soap opera for nerds?

    2. what? Those two of the most wonderfully trashy movies ever made... I grew up on those two... FLASH being my childhood fave and DUNE too, although DUNE is a bit too complex and weird....

  3. I like the fact that "Killing Jesus" has got a swarthy Semitic-looking actor in the main role instead of the usual blue-eyed, blonde European type. And it's also got some heavy-hitting acting talent with Kelsey Grammar, Rufus Sewell and John Rhys Davies, among others. I think I get the National Geographic channel on my cable package so I'll make note to watch this.

    1. it is quite an ensemble cast, isn't it? Although I'm in no way a fan of Kelsey... especially not in the historical genre.... but then, there's my dear Eoin :)

  5. So I just read your "Spotlight" on the "Killing Jesus" movie and see it's based on a book by that right-wing bastard Bill O'Reilly. Hmmm, I'm sure that will skew the perspective on this whole thing. I'm less keen to watch it now but might still.

  10. Killing Jesus looks intense. The actor definitely looks like how Jesus might've looked. No blue eyes.
