...love the pic for The Wrap. Ms. Bray's novel just hit my watch list ;)
ReplyDeleteEl
that's the pic for LEGENDS it's written all over it :)
Delete...geez, just googled it. The pic is for The Stuff of Legends. Gotcha ;)
ReplyDeleteEl
it is, it even says so on it :PPP
DeleteYou had me at Hugh Laurie!! Now I have a million and one questions, Dezz. One being, will he keep his accent? That's just my starting question, I have many more =PPP
ReplyDeleteI've always been a fan of Jerry O'Connell. I used to love watching him in Sliders. What a great show that was!
ooh, I adored SLIDERS, especially Kari Wuhrer in it. I've never got to see the end of that show and the cat recently told me what happened in the final episode.
DeleteI stopped watching it when they lost O'Connell =(
DeleteBut, last night, we popped in our Robocop DVD and watched it and laughed at the cheesy graphics and the poofy hairstyles of the time. It was so much fun!
heh, I can imagine the hairdo shocks :))
Deleterise of the guardians looks good :) hope you enter my giveaway if you like sunglasses :)
ReplyDeleteI will pop over ASAP :)
DeleteI'm a huge fan of Hugh Laurie so seeing him cast as a villain in Robocop will probably be enough to get me into the theaters for this remake.
ReplyDeleteIt's surprising to me that they are making a television series based off of books that haven't even been released yet. I wonder how that works? Maybe some people are just born into money.
yes, books having film rights sold have been one of the latest strange phenomena. I've even had an example of a book which was sold for movie adaptation even though it was only ordered to be written by an author, which means that is hasn't even been written yet :)
DeleteI loved Sliders - now I'm going to have to see if I can buy that on DVD... :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the show as well! A great one!
DeleteI'm looking forward to "The Guardians" because I'm just a big kid at heart!
ReplyDeleteit should be a nice adventure for kids
DeleteNo surprises, but THE STUFF OF LEGENDS sounds awesome. As does RISE OF THE GUARDIANS.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, shouldn't your avatar be more borg-like now? ;)
no, silly, I'm undercover, not gonna show the nation my Borg enhancements!
DeleteThe Diviners project sounds good to me. I usually love Libba Bray's books.
ReplyDeleteAnd still loving Santa as a badass. :D
she does have the weirdest name - Liba means goose in Hungarian and isn't Bray what donkey's do? Or sheep?
DeleteRise of the Guardians actually is intriguing ;) It's got some big names in there. Alec Baldwin is one of my favorite actors. I think he does great work.
ReplyDeleteit is a very very strong voice cast!
DeleteCool posters. Also, I'm glad Laurie is doing work so soon after House.
ReplyDeleteglad you like the posters, Clarissa!
DeletePortia De Rossi looks stunning in that picture! Also anything with Sammy Jackson, I'm always interested. Rise of the Guardians looks like it could be a gem.
ReplyDeletePortia is a timeless beauty!
DeleteHope the Guardians will score success this winter!
I think Laurie could pull off the evil guy in Robocop. I loved his demise in the original
ReplyDeletehe does have pure evil within him :)
Deleteyou had me at Hugh Laurie!
ReplyDeletehe is a popular guy!
DeleteExcellent cast line up for Robocop and Guardian. I'll keep my eyes peeled for those.
ReplyDelete......dhole
I love the projects with great casts!
DeleteHugh Laurie playing the villain... Does that mean he will have to speak British again, I wonder, for for some reason villains often do in American movies.... Rise of the Guardians looks great. Something to look forward to, Dezz. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess you need to be smart to be a villain and thus they give them British or Slavic accent :)))
DeleteOf course.
Deletenaturally!
DeleteI like Hugh Laurie and Samuel L. Jackson fascinates me, but I still don't want to see Robocop. The first one put me off that badly.
ReplyDeleteI've seen some of the old Munsters shows with the Hubby and since I really liked The Adams Family movies, I'd give this one a go as well. The Spawn and I were just watching the old Adams Family shows on DVD this past week. A friend gave them to her and we've been laughing every night at those shows.
Superheros are the rage this year it seems. Rise of The Guardians seems to really tap into our need to be rescued from the times in which we live by turning treasured childhood fantasy figures into superheros. I'm interested in seeing how they do this one.
I kinda knew you might like THE MUNSTERS project, I think we shall get first pics from the pilot soon.
DeleteGUARDIANS might have problems with THE HOBBIT which gets out pretty much the same time.
Haha, Hugh Laurie is the villain? Now I have to see it.
ReplyDeletehe will certainly attract lots of people to see the film
DeleteHugh Laurie as a villain, I like that idea!
ReplyDeleteit should be cool!
DeleteI'm withholding judgment on the new Munsters as the original is such an indelible part of my childhood. I do love Jerry and Portia so I'm going to give them a chance.
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of The Diviners as well as the Boogeyman versus Toys war. Rise of the Guardians just keeps sounding better and better. :)
I also love both Jerry and Portia!
DeletePortia de Rosie, hottest lesbian, true words. She is pretty smart and good actresses as well.
ReplyDeleteI loved her in ALLY MCBEAL, the only nice character in otherwise stupid show (not counting the amazing Jane Krakowski)
Deleteand Dame Edna!
DeleteHugh Laurie as a villain in Robocop? Sweet! If anything makes me watch that movie it will be him! Hugh Laurie rules!
ReplyDeleteI kinda knew people would say that :)
DeleteWish they'd bring Sliders back, screw the Munsters, but yeah it might be good, doubt it though. Prob go all Twilight wannabe. And really pulling out all the stops for the Robocop one.
ReplyDeleteI reckon it will be a comedy show with that cast.
DeleteSliders started out good then went bad. Jerry O'Connell should make a good Herman though.
ReplyDeleteI liked the show only while they had Kari Wuhrer in the cast :)
DeleteOww the new resident evil film looks promising imo
ReplyDeleteglad you like it!
DeleteRISE OF THE GUARDIANS is on my list to take the kids. And I love the RESIDENT EVILS, but that's just me.
