HOLLYWOOD SPY HEADLINES
One of our favourite directors John Madden (whose recent THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL with Judi Dench earned stunning $100 million around the world) is going to direct MURDER MYSTERY which is being described as an, "affectionate deconstruction" of an Agatha Christie-style whodunit, which centres on an American couple travelling overseas. "Deadline" reports that Charlize Theron, who is currently at the peak of her career, is negotiating about taking the lead role!

I haven't seen any of the Resident Evil movies but I have played the video game. With little ones running around, not many horror movies make it in this house!
ReplyDeletewell, you didn't really miss much, Danzel, besides lots of mindblowing action and Milla in a rubber suit :)
DeleteI liked the 2nd and 3rd Resident Evil movie, but the last one was...bleh.
ReplyDeletehaven't seen it, stopped watching after the first one :)
DeleteI didnt even finish to watch the first one:-)
Deleteit was a very bloody movie
DeleteI hope Charlize gets a meatier role than the one she had in Prometheus! :)
ReplyDeletewe're keeping our fingers crossed for her, but she does have a strange choice of roles.
DeleteI guess I'll have to catch up with the rest of the world and read Life of Pi.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it either :)
DeleteI am looking forward to the life of pi because I am curious with the book but too lazy to read it ;)
ReplyDeleteAh...I hope Theron gets the job, I like her more each time I see her movie
she is getting better and better, she's just shaved her head for the role in MAD MAX FURY ROAD
DeleteI don't like Mad Max even back then...but I am curios with her role there
DeleteI loved the book "Life of Pi" and am so looking forward to the movie!
ReplyDeleteglad to hear it, Debs
DeleteAren't there enough resident evils out there?? Sigh...
ReplyDeletele sigh indeed, although there are a few boys in the film you could sigh after :)
DeleteResident Evil part 1 was ok, kinda new , though zombie story, it was different but the sequel watered down piss. Not interested.
ReplyDeleteLife of PI - maybe I could for the different plot, hope they dont disappoint.
it seems this time the zombies are taking over the world... which was about time if you ask me :)
DeleteI really REALLY wish they'd stop bastardizing Resident Evil. It's bad enough the games are starting to follow suit an be completely action oriented.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree, they missed the mark with every single one of the movies. They are all a disgrace to the resident evil name. This one will be no different.
Delete@Shaw
Deletethey are earning more money with each new sequel though, every part had between 50 and 100 million $ more earnings than the previous one
@Matt
DeleteI'd change the lead actress in the franchise :)
Wow you weren't kidding that was a teaser alright, all 12 seconds. Still pretty exciting.
ReplyDeleteyep, excitement packed in a little boat and in only 12 seconds :))) Hope the longer trailer will come soon.
DeleteI LOVE Resident Evil and cannot wait for this one. Alice is a great female character.
ReplyDeleteLife of Pi is an incredible novel and I am looking forward to the film.
I know it's your kind of character :) although I wish it got some better actress than awful Milla.
DeleteOf course, murder mystery is just what I like. Can't wait to see more of that one. Life of Pi looks interesting too.
ReplyDeletethat one should be especially interesting for you, Clarissa :)
DeleteI'm not a fan of Resident Evil but everyone else in my house is *eye roll* I'll let them go see it with me!
ReplyDeleteah, you're so generous :PPP
DeleteAnother Resident Evil movie? Are you serious? They aren't even that good.
ReplyDeletethe earnings don't say so :P
DeleteResident Evil, sadly I sat through them all. Not much to be had with them at all. And don't see how they make more and more, that last one was crap. Guess people are just getting dumber. No surprise there.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure either, but MEN IN BLACK III had nice earnings last weekend, which means I give up when it comes to understanding the workings of boxoffice sucsess :)
DeleteLife of Pi is a must see for me as The Spawn and I read the book. From the teaser it looks like they are going to be able to bring this book to life, which would seem impossible.
ReplyDeleteResident Evil just isn't my thing. Didn't like the first one and didn't bother watching any of the others.
you know, I keep hearing from other people too that LIFE OF PI seems like a very difficult book to adapt.
DeleteI adored the novel Life of Pi. That teaser scared me a bit, though.
ReplyDeleteI love a good mystery, so I'll probably be seeing Charlize's movie.
it is scary a bit, isn't it?
DeleteI like it
ReplyDeleteglad to hear it
