After the first images that Apple has released from their February 14th series THE NEW LOOK we now also have two images of Glenn Close as Harper's Bazaar's editor Carmel Snow. Starring Ben Mendelsohn as
Christian Dior and Juliette Binoche as Coco Chanel, the series centers on the fashion designers and their contemporaries as they navigated the horrors of World War II and launched modern fashion. John Malkovich stars as
Lucien Lelong, Emily Mortimer as Elsa Lombardi, and Claes Bang as Spatz. As Dior rises to prominence with his groundbreaking, iconic imprint of beauty and influence, Chanel’s reign as the world’s most famous fashion designer is put into jeopardy in the ten episode show.

I don't like Chanel. She was a colabo and a Gestapo agent. I love Lelong and Dior's New Look, so I'm looking foward to this and Balenciaga's epic.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I am hoping the series will portray her as a nazi witch that she was. Fendi was also cool with the nazis in Italy.
DeleteI don’t know much about Chanel, but I do like the fashions. I will watch this though once we get our subscription up and going.
