A December 22nd opening date and first image have been released for ALL OF US STRANGERS fantasy drama movie from Andrew Haigh. One night in his empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with his neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal) that 
punctures the rhythms of his everyday life. As Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is pulled back to his childhood home where it appears his long-dead parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell) are both living and look the same age as the day they died 30 years before.

FOR NEW NETFLIX MOVIE
Netflix has released a streaming date and first poster and trailer for their new thriller movie FAIR PLAY starring Alden Ehrenreich and Eddie Marsan.
The movie which will be available for streaming from October 13th, follows thriving New York couple Emily (Phoebe Dynevor) and Luke (Alden Ehrenreich), who, hot off the heels of their new engagement, can't get enough of each other. When a coveted promotion at a cutthroat financial firm arises, supportive exchanges between the lovers begin to sour into something more sinister. As the power dynamics irrevocably shift in their relationship, Luke and Emily must face the true price of success and the unnerving limits of ambition. Sebastian de Souza, Sia Alipour, Brandon Bassir, Buck Braithwaite and Abe Fark are just some of the hot hunks also starring in this film.

Now both sound really interesting, even the Fantasy one...first I thought it were a gay movie again...we are watching A man called Otto now. I know Tom Hanks ain't your favourite :-))
ReplyDeleteI am still hoping Andrew and Paul getting closer means they are gay in the film. Yep, cannot stand Hanks and I have heard they turned Otto into a travesty in his version, you should have watched the original Scandinavian one.

DeleteI wanted to like Fair Play, but Jesus they are both toxic people. Sounds like he's jealous of her success and she's just psycho. Probably a lesson on why you shouldn't work with your partner unless you both own the company. (Even then, there are days I'd like to throw a cup at Jason and I'm sure he feels the same about me lol)

DeleteOwners. It's my company though. Everything is registered in my name. Of course Jason is entitled to half of the company, but everything in our shop is stuff I personally created/had the ideas for. Plus, we get better tax breaks for being a woman owned business and get into more exclusive events. There are some art and craft fairs that only take women-owned, minority-owned, or lgbtqia artists, so that helps get our foot in the door, too.

DeleteUnfortunately, it is. However, these groups are still very much marginalized in this country. Until everyone is viewed as fully equal, we have to shine a spotlight on the overlooked class. Jason working in corporate America with 20 years of hiring under his belt will tell you that straight white men were always preferred over everyone else, even when he left corporate in 2021. He always made a point to pick the best candidate though even if it meant getting a stern talking to from the owners for steering off path. I’m ok with events that focus on those in marginalized classes, even when I’m excluded. I’ll still turn up and show my support for the little guy if they have a product or service that I need. I like to think there’s room for us all out there. But there are many out there who see women, non-white, or gay business owners as a threat like we’re trying to steal their piece of the pie. No, we just want a seat at the table. So, I’m thankful that there are events that allow these groups to shine.
