Collette will take the female lead as his wife, a corporate executive, mother, stepmother of five and wife of Michael Peterson, played by Firth. Eight episodes of the mini series will follow the life of Michael Peterson, his sprawling North Carolina family and the suspicious death of his wife, Kathleen. As 'Deadline' reports, it is based on the docuseries and various books and reports on the case. Michael Peterson was convicted of murdering Kathleen in 2001, a charge that was reduced to manslaughter in 2017 and Peterson released from prison. He had claimed his wife died after falling down the stairs at their home after consuming alcohol and Valium, but an autopsy

concluded she died from multiple injuries, including blows to the back of her head with a blunt object. Antonio Campos is executive producing the new mini series.

DeleteFor a minute there I was confusing the story line about Scott Peterson murdering his wife and thought that Colin is a cutie, but not Scott Peterson good looking. That role would require more of a Dean Cain type. But, now that I'm up to speed, Colin is a great casting choice.
ReplyDeleteWho is Scott Peterson, and do I want to know? LOL I don't really follow criminal cases, I also avoid it in newspapers too, I did read about the latest Dugar story and feel sorry for him, I think he grew up in such a sick environment of the house filled with dozens and dozens of kids, I bet he was molested himself as a kid by his brothers and sisters. I'd arrest their parents and put them in jail forevers.
DeleteJust Google Scott and Laci Peterson to see his image. It was a high profile case here years ago because he was super gorgeous and had a beautiful wife who was almost ready to give birth to their son and he ended up killing them to be with his mistress.
DeleteI don't follow that train wreck of The Duggars, but the whole lot of that family sounds creepy AF from what little I have learned about them.
I don't follow them either, but it is currently impossible to avoid them as they are on all possible sites because of their son's alleged child porn accusations.
