THE COOK OF CASTAMAR
SPAIN'S NEW PERIOD SET DRAMA
The series started airing this February
Last Sunday I presented you with a 19th century set Spanish epic drama and this week I will introduce you to another historical Spanish series but this one set in the 18th century, and don't be surprised if I bring you something Spanish next Sunday too as I haven't yet introduced you to all the costume drama coming to us this year from the Iberian peninsula. We did cover most of Russia's and France's production so it is only polite to give the same attention to the southern regions as well. If you have an info on a period set project from your country

I do hope there is a lot of food in it, although I imagine 18th century food was quite vulgar, but maybe it wasn't. I do feel I'd die if I was to travel back into the past and survive on their food.
Probably LOL. I would starve if I had to go back in time and eat. I mean, they never washed their hands, ate with their hands after bathroom business, shit in common places. I imagine all kinds of diseases were spread through meals.
Could not be dumber if it tried. A lot of unerotic sex of every kind possible, gay, straight, threesomes, interracial, you name it this series has it but like I said yawn, totally unerotic, a complicated plot with side plots none of them believable or interesting. Nice decors however and clothing, so something nice to be said of it.

DeleteI like watching movies that are based on books that I've read. I wish they would make more of them.
ReplyDeleteThose are usually the best of movies and series too.
DeleteI'd watch it for the food alone! But the costumes and scenery look inviting as well.
