    1. I have absolutely no doubt that they will find a way to piss us off majestically as they always do, these wokeists!

  2. I totally laughed too, Jax. I believe there are some projects that would do well being rethought with a modern take. But you run into trouble messing with a classic.

It's like when they do that with films based on religious text. There's a built-in audience who'll love it if you stay true to the story and are respectful to the material. Doesn't happen often they don't end up alienating what should be their prime audience.

    1. But nothing can stay classic anymore, absolutely not. They have to dig everything up from the grave and give it an unholy new treatment.

    1. Some ten years ago he won a lot of award for directing, writing and staring in I KILLED MY MOTHER and MOMMY movies. He is very outspoken, methinks, when it comes to LGBT agenda and such things.

  5. I never watched the original King and I so don't have much interest in a remake but Lost Illusions could be fun.

    1. The original was mostly hear sweaping the floors of the royal palace with her massive skirts and lots of scary drum music :)

  6. Sounds about right for this generation to eff up a classic in the name of being woke. Hard pass on this remake for me.
