SHADOW PLAY
is a character driven thriller series set in Berlin. It centres on the story of Max McLaughlin (Taylor Kitsch), an American cop who arrives in the city in the summer of 1946 to help create a police force in the chaotic aftermath of the war. Max’s goal is to take down “Engelmacher” Gladow (Sebastian Koch), the Capone of post-war Berlin. At the same time, Max undertakes a secret crusade to find his missing brother Moritz (Logan Marshall-Green), who is killing ex-Nazis in

  1. Now that Christmas is behind us, it’s time to snuggle on the couch with Jason and catch up on my list. I’ll add this one for Jason.

    1. I'm so happy that time is finally there for you, I know how long you've waited for it! Is he finally done with his work around the house?

  2. This one looks pretty good. We need some options for this upcoming Winter! Word is, we're getting an unusually cold Winter that's made for couch laying and warm throw blankets.

    1. Ours will be unusually mild as they say LOL Would you believe me that I still haven't worn any of my winter jackets yet? When I go downtown shopping I still go just in one of my winter vests and a woolen scarf. I will go to Novi Sad this week, and I think I will do that in a vest as well.

  3. No, we’re shooting to have everything wrapped up by March on the house. Things are just taking A LOT longer than we anticipated. He’s thinking of leaving his job in January, so who knows what the next chapter will hold. I’m hoping it means he’s ready to go back and obtain his college degree, something he’s been wanting to do for years, but his boss held him back from doing so for the past 20 years (it’s easy to keep your employees trained little monkeys when you over pay them and let them know that if they pursue higher education they’ll be fired because you want to keep them as your little bitches instead of making them desirable to your competitors). I am so excited for the possibility of him leaving though, even though I’m sure we’ll struggle financially until he’s earned his degree. We’ll have so much more free time to be together and a lot less stress. An end of an era is on the horizon and I can’t wait to see what’s in store. This week though, couch snuggling and lots of television watching!

    1. But what will you live on if he is not working? Savings? Fingers crossed for his diploma. We ain't young anymore, so he better use his time quickly. Here nobody wants to hire you if you are over 40. I've checked out horoscopes for next year and they all say it will be an easy year for all of us, fingers crossed it is true. It is interesting that a certain position of Saturn does mean that many people will change jobs and solve professional situations.

    2. We’ll really be fine. We have savings to live on until he lands another job. He has a lot of contacts he’s made over the years that have open doors for him to walk through, so it won’t take long. It just means taking a pay cut to half of what he’s currently salaried at since he never earned his degree. Which is fine too because 1/2 of his current salary is still more than what 2 income households make here. We’ll just have to adjust our spending so we aren’t dipping into the savings too much to get by. That’s exciting news about horoscopes for next year. We all need an easy year after the 2020 shitshow.

    3. Will keep fingers crossed for him and you, I thought the would be opening something on his own, you should put him as CEO of your Etsy firm LOL and go global :)

  4. He would like to do his own little Etsy/Woodworking side gig at some point. I wouldn't let him help me this year because I really wanted to learn to do it on my own. You know, really get down the ins and outs and what works and what doesn't. Jason's not made to work from home full time though. He gets antsy and restless and needs outside distractions, otherwise his ADHD kicks into overdrive, then sets off his anxiety and depression. He'll do much better working for an outside firm, then coming home and having his own side hustle once he no longer has home projects to focus on. Thanks for your well wishes, deary. I do think these new upcoming changes will do us a world of good, especially after the hell of 2020!

    1. Fingers crossed, you know that I always wish for work and not much else because work is what keeps me sane. This new year does not look promising when it comes to my own work, but horoscope says it will be good. I'd like a change, a permanent job, my own business... but that is wishful thinking.

  5. I will keep my fingers crossed and send a wishful thought of my own out into the universe that this is going to be a great year for you work-wise. Love-wise too. You definitely deserve all the happiness in the world and I hope you get it ALL this year!

    1. I don't believe love would ever happen to me, who would love me? LOL But I do hope something nice finally happens at work, I'm in the second decade now in this business and I really deserve some benefits methinks instead of everyday insecurities.

  6. Well, deary, I love you for one. I mean, who would have thought that we could be half a world away from each other, and even though we've never met face to face, you are one of the most important people in my life. If it's possible that you and I could come together the way we have, I have no doubt you'll find your love somehow, some day.

As for work, yes, you definitely deserve some perks and benefits. A raise or a big fat bonus at the very least!
