Javier Bardem is yummy! And seems like a great choice for the lead role here.

DeleteThis sounds like an interesting series, but how does an entire civilization get destroyed? Was no one left to rebuild? We need more fantasies and less tragedies to feast on.
ReplyDeleteThey haven't taught you that in history lessons? Admittedly, Moctezuma was a nasty bugger who liked to sacrifice thousands to his imaginary Gods, not that the conquistadors and Spanish people of that time were any better.
DeleteNope! Our history classes were probably very different than other country's history classes. I learned that through conversations with my husband. Although, admittedly, so were his. He seems to think Christopher Columbus never made it to America and went to Cuba instead.
DeleteConquistadors killed and butchered a large number of native warriors (who did not have horses, vicious dogs nor swords) and then brought down their empires and enforced their own rule and system over them. Those that did not die after from the diseases brought from the west, were assimilated into the Spanish society that was established there ending up as slaves and over the centuries most of them just died. They did, of course, leave their genes in the blood of the future generations. USA probably does not teach their kids about it much as that is what they did themselves to Native Americans later on. Plus they still like to invade other countries and cultures around the world, especially the oil rich ones in order to 'spread democracy' of course... the same excuse Cortes and Columbus used in their time.

DeleteHave you people not seen what Spain has been doing to the Catalan independence activists? Did you not see what the Spanish authorities did to independence voters casting their votes in Catalonia? Have you seen how "authorities" have been treating the population throughout this Plandemic? Spain is still a very dark place. The Inquisition never died.
