The series will start shooting next February with airing time set for the end of 2020. The Durrells director Steve Barron is helming the project. The series will air on France Télévisions, Germany’s ZDF, British BBC and Italy’s RAI!

      'BECOMING ELIZABETH'
STARZ ORDERS SERIES ON THE TEENAGE ELIZABETH TUDOR
Meanwhile, after they finish their borderline unwatchable Spanish Princess series, STARZ is staying at the Tudor court because they are planning a new epic saga on queen Elizabeth but when she was still young.
The series will be shot in eight hourlong episodes!
Eight part saga BECOMING ELIZABETH, written not surprisingly only by women, centres on the young Elizabeth Tudor, an orphaned teenager who becomes embroiled in the political and sexual politics of the English court on her journey to secure the crown.

  1. I suppose the classic adventure by Jules Verne won't lose its charm in the new series, though nowadays, 80 days is quite a lot of time for the trip around the world.

    1. I bet it will be filled with modern agenda! I think I liked the one with Pierce Brosnan best.

  2. Becoming Elizabeth sounds intriguing, but I feel like a similar project was mentioned recently.

  3. I think you’re right on both counts. Milking Tudors past the point of boredom and I’m sure 80 days will be filled with modern agenda to shove down our throats.
