COMEDY SUNDAY: TRAILERS AND POSTERS FOR NEW SEASONS OF AMERICA'S FAVOURITE SITCOMS LAST MAN STANDING WITH TIM ALLEN AND FULLER HOUSE IN ITS FINAL SEASON

     'LAST MAN STANDING'
SEASON 8 STARTS THE NEW YEAR
The current TV season is definitely one of the strangest ones, not just because it hasn't had any major hit so far, but also because none of the major comedies or new pilots have started in September being scheduled, almost all

of them, for midseason! Tim Allen's LAST MAN STANDING always started in September, as America's best watched multi camera sitcom for seven years in a row, but this year the eight season will start January 2nd. Which isn't all that bad as it will have a continued run with all 22 episodes unbroken by holiday breaks. To make things more interesting it will air double episodes on Thursday nights all until January 23rd when it will go to an episode per week joined by Fox' new comedy Outmatched with Jason Biggs. And to make things even more interesting, Thursday nights will become a night of comedy gold as Tim's sitcom will be joined on Thursdays by Fran Drescher's Indebted (from February) at NBC followed by the final season of Will and Grace! Comedy heaven indeed! In LAST MAN STANDING Tim Allen plays America's favourite conservative family man Mike Baxter who pokes fun with modern

times, politics and his family members and friends in a warm and friendly way. As you can see from the first teaser Mike's and Vanessa's (Nancy Travis) youngest daughter Eve (Kaitlyn Dever) will be present in the eight season as well, with Susan Sullivan (as Vanessa’s mom Bonnie), Tisha Campbell (as Chuck’s wife Carol), Bill Engvall (as Reverend Paul) and Jay Leno (as Outdoor Man mechanic Joe) returning as well. The sitcom now has well over 150 episodes!

     'FULLER HOUSE' FINAL SEASON
TO END WITH THREE WEDDINGS?
Meanwhile, Netflix has set December 6th as the starting date for their sitcom FULLER HOUSE's 18 episode final ever run! Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber return as the lead female trio with the story now focused on Stephanie's new baby, DJ's kids all growing up
The final season starts December 6th on Netflix
and her getting engaged to Steve (Scott Weinger) which might mean the series could end with their wedding. And that won't be the only one as Stephanie is set to marry Jimmy (Adam Hagenbuch) who proposed to her in the final episode of the previous season. It is also quite possible that
The season will be split into two eight episode parts
Kimberley will marry Fernando (Juan Pablo Di Pace) again too! Episode 11 is titled Three Weddings and a Musical so that gives us a major hint. Beth Crosby, Julian Gooberman and Leda Hoepfner will be the new cast members in the final season. Michael Campion (Jackson), Elias Harger (Max), Soni Nicole Bringas (Ramona) all return as the kids in the house.

    1. That's sad, Debs, as they're the kindest and warmest programmes on the telly, but I guess today's world is too cynical for some wholesome goodness. Or maybe not, as both of these shows beat all other comedies in ratings big time. Last Man has three time the audience than Will and Grace have, for example. Because they offer love, kindness and friendship as living principles, not hatred, cynicism and division.

  2. I have to agree with Debra, at least on the Fuller House thing. Haven't seen Last man Standing so I can't say. I did like Tim Allen in Home Improvement. That was a funny show.

    1. Last Man is quite similar to Home Improvement, which is why it is so popular, people love wholesome classics.

    1. It is so beautiful and wholesome! The only educational show with the right message on the telly, not counting his hunting trips which we do not approve of!

  4. The best thing to ever happen to tv was bringing Last Man Standing back on air. It will probably always be a favorite for me.

I am sad that Fuller House is coming to an end. Like you said, it's a fun, wholesome show. We need more of that in today's world that's filled with so much hate and ugliness.

    1. I hope they improve Last Man in this season as returning season last year was probably their weakest so far. Still the best sitcom on the telly, but they lost their mojo, they need more dynamics, they need to kick the Asian student out, bring back Eve and maybe redecorate their house too.

    2. We're still catching up on LMS, so I haven't had the pleasure (displeasure?) of watching last season just yet. Does Kyle still have a fair amount of screen time? We just love his goofy, lovable personality. I think he's our favorite character in the show.

    3. He does, they've cut his hair so he is prettier too, but he now mostly spends screen time with Mandy, especially as they are preparing an apartment for themselves above the weed shop that Mike's son in law has. Mike gave him the shop after his dad died. New Mandy loves him more than the old one who was mostly evil towards him.

  5. I always loved Full House growing up, but Fuller House is just wrong in my opinion

    1. I like it, but when I watch it I never expect much, just simple crazy fun to relax the brain.

  6. It is just as cheesy and corny as the original. I love Fuller House.

    1. Possibly even cheesier especially with the ridiculousness of Kimberley's character.

  7. While I would prefer to wait until January to start a show to eliminate long breaks, I really don't know how I feel about double episodes. I think one episode a week is enough. Too much at once will make me greedy!! lol

    1. It will go double just first three weeks. It is interesting that LMS fans always ask for double runtime, they never think half an hour is enough :) I do believe half hour is better as the longer episodes can make people fed up with it eventually.

    1. I cannot believe he never hosted Oscars. That is the burden of being a conservative family man in Hollywood.
