Jamestown director is helming the new series
another series for ITV. It is set in the 19th century when the upper echelons of society began to rub shoulders the emerging industrial nouveau riche. The story itself begins on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, when the Duchess of Richmond throws a party in Brussels for the Duke of Wellington. Among the guests are James and Anne Trenchard, who are living on the profits of newfound trading success. Their young daughter Sophia has caught the eye of Edmund Bellasis, the son and heir of one of the richest and most prominent families in England. Twenty-five years later, when the two families are settled into the newly developed area of Belgravia, the events of the ball, and the secrets, still resonate. Carnival Films will produce.

  1. Another story of upper class (Bellasis) and lower class(Trenchard),romance, intrigues, and scandals - only this time the plot is set in Belgravia (a rich part of London) not in a rural environment.
With good actors, it will sell very well.

  2. We do love these kinds of stories. I will also look forward to the casting. Hope they get some good actors!

It seems like my package hit Belgrade last week, but for some reason it's tied up in customs there. Ugh! Hopefully they get off their butts and get it delivered to you this week. It's been 1 month and 2 days since I shipped it :(

    1. It was Christmas last week :) It will probably arrive today or tomorrow. My Avon delivery is three weeks late too! I remember that you got my package last year mid January too, even though I sent it beginning of December.

  3. I forgot you said everything closes for the holidays there. Even though our post office is closed on Christmas here, they still make deliveries. I had a package arrive on Christmas day before. Felt bad for the driver, but I'm sure they were getting paid double time so they might have volunteered to be working that day.

    1. yes, I remember you once got my present right on the Christmas Eve and put it under the tree to open on Christmas Morning which was the sweetest thing I was ever a part of :)
Our postman often won't even bring the package with him, he will just come to the mailbox and throw in a paper saying he came and nobody was home and we can collect the parcel ourselves in the post office. He does that, even though he is paid to deliver, in order to relieve himself from burden of carrying it around. It pissed me off indescribably and I made at least three unpleasant scenes at the post office because of it so far.

    2. Your postman must be related to mine. Mine was so lazy that he pulled his truck into my driveway, filled out a "you weren't home" slip, backed out, put the note in my mailbox, then drove off. I WAS home and my security cameras showed that he never even got out of the truck. Lazy asses :( I had to waste over an hour driving to the office and standing in line to get my package even though it would have taken him less than 30 seconds to ring my doorbell and give me my delivery. He did not get a tip this year.

    3. that happens to us at least five to ten times a year. Good thing you at least have cameras. If I had them I would've ruined his career long time ago :) Last time I had to go to the post office to pick up a parcel he did not bring, it was minus ten degrees outside and the streets were covered with glassy ice. The woman at the post office even refused to give me the parcel saying it isn't there, it is with the postman, and I made her look it up and she returned five seconds later with da parcel... biach. She did remember me, though, well, as I made my point in making the very loud scene in the post office so that everybody will know what they do. Here, they even charge you a fee for each day the parcel stays in the office uncollected.

    4. Ooh, sounds like a way for them to suck more money from you. Don't deliver it, then collect fees when you don't pick it up. What a bunch of hogwash!
