loving fiancee with one of the locals. It is a beautiful
story of love, friendship and the sadness of friends lost in the
aftermath of World War II.
I've read about this romantic drama in the blog of an english woman. She found it rather sweet.
Potato peels has for me a very negative association. My mother (rip) used to eat potatoe peels in the ukrainian exile village during the war, and she felt lucky she got them.
Yes, our people ate potato peels and rotten potatoes and even leather boots during the war, today's kids don't really know what hunger is :( During US and foreign embargo on my country in early 90s I remember we did not have basic things like oil, flour, sugar and petrol. Luckily, I myself grew up on a farm, so we coped, but not everybody had, sadly.
I will be sure to add it to my Netflix queue this August. There isn't much interesting on Netflix these days, but I have been obsessed with the baking shows they have on there. I just finished season 1 of Zumbo's Just Desserts and gained about 50 pounds just dreaming about the yummy creations they made there!
GIVE SOME LOVE TO YOUR DEZZY :) DON'T FORGET THAT BLOGGER'S NEW COMMENT BOX OFTEN REQUIRES FOR YOU TO DISABLE PROTECTION ON YOUR BROWSER IN ORDER TO COMMENT.
This STILL hasn't come to Edmonton! Waiting! WAITING!
