FIELD OF LOST SHOES
TOUCHING CIVIL WAR DRAMA
I'm spotlighting some of the smaller films opening up this month in cinemas, for you today starting with FIELD OF LOST SHOES, a historical drama  based on a true story of the American Civil War, culminating at the Battle of New Market in May 1864, when a group of teenage cadets, sheltered from war at the Virginia Military Institute, had to confront the horrors of an adult world after being called upon to defend the Shenandoah Valley. Leaving behind their youth, these cadets must decide what they are fighting for. Jason Isaacs, Tom Skerritt, Lauren Holly and David Arquette star!

  2. I love movies like these -- driven by character and plot, not just CGI. Altho I like certain CGI movies too, don't get me wrong. It's just that they get a little tiresome in a steady diet.

  9. Musicals never do well. I don't know why they never quite figure that out! As for The Field of Lost Shoes, it doesn't look quite as girly as I would have thought a film about lost shoes would be!
