'ROB ROY' FANTASY HISTORICAL TV SERIES! 'LULLABY' TRAILER WITH GARRETT HEDLUND, AMY ADAMS, JENNIFER HUDSON, JESSICA BROWN FINDLAY! CHARLIZE THERON, DAKOTA FANNING FOR 'BRAIN ON FIRE' MOVIE

ROB ROY
EPIC TV SERIES
In TV news, Freemantle Media has announced their work on ROB ROY historical adventure TV series about the famous Scottish folk hero and outlaw of the early 18th century. Also including elements of humour, it will be set in Scotland with mythical creatures describing the repressive reign of English King George. It will focus on Robert Roy MacGregor's life story, giving it a contemporary update. Rob Roy and his group will set out on a journey to find the true King of Scotland. The action scenes and fantastical creatures will also have a steampunk overlay! I also reported last year that another Scottish hero - WILLIAM WALLACE - will be getting his own series too! And this summer over at Starz you shall watch Scotland set historical series OUTLANDER!

BRAIN ON FIRE
CHARLIZE THERON TO PRODUCE DAKOTA FANNING FILM
If you've ever asked why do people get possessed BRAIN ON FIRE might explain it to you: Charlize Theron has bought the rights on BRAIN ON FIRE MY MONTH OF MADNESS book by Susannah Cahalan with Dakota Fanning attached to star. The story follows a 24-year-old woman who just started a career as a reporter for the New York Post when out of nowhere, she became psychotic and violent, which lead to a month-long stay in the hospital that she doesn't remember! Baffled by her mysterious condition doctors were ready to commit her to a psychiatric clinic, when Dr. Souhel Najjar was brought on to examine her, and he asked her to draw one simple sketch which helped doctors diagnose her with a new auto-immune disease which caused her body to attack her brain, an illness now thought to be the cause of "demonic possessions" throughout history.

  1. Lullaby looks intense. I'll have to bring a box of tissues if I see it.

  2. I remember reading "Rob Roy" when I was a kid. I was on a Scottish historical novels kick at the time. Will have to catch the movie!

    1. yep, by famous Walter Scott! We had happy childhoods reading his historical novels instead of playing computer games and making selfies.

    2. There were no such things as computers or mobiles when I was a kid. We read and played out of doors.

    3. me too, dear, we read comics and watched the only one TV channel that we had in the whole country.

    4. Same! We did 'kids stuff' too like play outdoors, swing from trees, and read books. Now, that's a novel idea ... Shame kids these days don't do the same! A few bruised knees never hurt anyone.

Now, onto your post (sorry!) LULLABY! looks quite good. Nice to see Anne Archer. Haven't seen her on the big screen for ages.

    5. It's a shame they're not playing outside especially if they have Middle Earth nature around them!
Haven't seen her either and couldn't even remember her name for ten minutes :)

  3. Little Dakota has grown up. The Scottish epics look interesting. Don't think I could watch Lullaby, too sad.

    1. I've lost pretty much most of my interest in OUTLANDER after I saw the previous trailer and the bad photos and costumes and the whole atmosphere. I hope they will warm me up somehow. And I hope they release some kind of posters or professional pics soon

  6. Men in kilts. Scottish men in kilts. Two of my favourite sentences in the English language. Now there's only one sentence that can beat those. Me and a bunch of kilted Scottish men alone on a deserted island :)

  9. I love Amy Adams. Pure awesomeness. That story about the NYT reporter reminds me of a story my husband tells me. He had a friend who had just landed a really good job. She'd been through this really intensive training when she was in a car accident that caused amnesia. She couldn't remember the last few weeks of her life. They had to completely retrain her! Can you imagine starting a job like that?

    1. OMG that is such a crazy story! Poor girl! But then again imagine all those accidents after which you again have to learn how to speak, eat, swallow food, walk.....
