CHANNING TATUM TO STAR IN
GAY ROMANTIC COMEDY
Well, we've seen Channing Tatum rising to fame in past few years and scoring success at the box office with almost all of his films, he played action heroes, dancers, strippers, soldiers, cops, Roman centurions, but there's something he hasn't played yet - we haven't seen him playing a gay man! And that is about to change. According to 'Cinema Blend' he will star in first big gay romcom, so far untitled. This gay romantic comedy will apparently see him play a stunning gay man who becomes romantically involved with an average looking man who is supposed to be played by Saturday Night Live 
newcomer John Milhiser. The film will be helmed by HEAT and BRIDESMAIDS director Paul Feig.Channing Tatum, who got his first daughter Everly earlier this year with WITCHES OF EAST END star Jenna Dewan, will be seen next year in JUPITER ASCENDING sf epic.

ALEX PETTYFER TO PLAY
FIRST GAY ACTION HERO!
And to continue in the gay tone, it seems the gay will enter the
action genre too: another extremely handsome hunk Alex Pettyfer will
supposedly take the lead role in a gay action hero movie, which is also
still untitled! To be directed by THE BUTLER helmer Lee Daniels, the
film has been described as MR. AND MRS. SMITH but with two extremely hot
guys as the action heroes who reveal their love towards each other in the end of the movie. Since it will be an interracial love affair
action gay story the director is currently searching for an African
American actor to take the second lead role next to Pettyfer. According
to rumours Alex Pettyfer has also auditioned for a role in STAR WARS VII
as well!
NICOLE KIDMAN
IS 'THE SILENT WIFE'
Yet, another new project for Australian star Nicole Kidman will be the movie adaptation of THE SILENT WIFE, a book which became a bestseller earlier this summer only a few months after its writer A. S. A. Harrison died not living to see his first novel published. Switching perspectives from husband to wife in each chapter, the story of the book revolves around a Chicago couple who have been married for 20 years. While they seem to live a happy life, the wife (Nicole Kidman) is unaware that the husband is seeing other women behind his back. Nicole is also producing. You will watch her later this year in RAILWAY MAN with Colin Firth and next Spring in GRACE OF MONACO.
So the gay action flick will be MISTER and MISTER Smith, eh? LOL!

DeleteAll good stuff. But how sad that the author of The Silent Wife never got to see his novel published! And then for it to be made into a movie! Wow.
ReplyDeletein a bizarre tone, his death did make the book a bestseller... kinda.... So many classic writers became classic decades or even hundreds of years after their deaths.....

DeleteI did not know about A. S. A. Harrison. Very sad to hear. I'm sure, however, that the lovely and very talented Nicole Kidman will do the movie the justice it deserves.

DeleteYet another taboo stricken down in mainstream films. It doesn't seem that many years ago when married couples couldn't be shown sharing the same bed, and the word "pregnant" couldn't be used. We've come a long way.

DeleteYou know, Channing is very yummy to look at, but I'm not sure his acting skills are good enough to pull off playing a gay man. It will be interesting to see if he can actually make it believable!
ReplyDeletehe actually did show his acting chops a couple of times so far... he had serious roles, not just the fun ones. His biggest assets in acting are his expressive eyes which do half of the job
