KATHERINE HEIGL IN "A MOMENT TO REMEMBER"! NICHOLAS HOULT, ELLE FANNING IN SF "YOUNG ONES"! JESSICA ALBA IS ASTRONAUT IN "WEIGHTLESS"! HOLLYWOOD SPY BAFTA 2013 EXCLUSIVE RED CARPET FASHION REPORT!

According to "THR" lovely Katherine Heigl has found herself another new role: she will take A MOMENT TO REMEMBER. Based on a Japanese TV
show, the film centres on a fashion designer who contracts a disease that makes her memories fade away. After discovering the illness, her husband sets out to provide her with one last memory of love. Meanwhile, rising star Nicholas Hoult, who will be JACK THE GIANT SLAYER this spring, has boarded YOUNG ONES together with Michael Shannon and Elle Fanning. The story of the science fiction thriller film, set in a future where water has become a precious commodity, follows a 14-year-old boy struggling to survive in this violent world. The production has already started down in South Africa! Nicholas Hoult will also star in WWI film BIRDSONG! Rupert Wyatt's romantic saga will be a film adaptation of Sebastian Foulk's novel which was already adapted into a mini series with outstanding Eddie Redmayne two years ago. Hoult will portray 21-year old officer who falls in love with a beautiful older married woman before he goes to war.

JESSICA ALBA IS WEIGHTLESS
And it seems that after Sandra Bullock, who will fly a spaceship in GRAVITY later this year, Jessica Alba might do the same in WEIGHTLESS. She will portray a female astronaut who unwittingly becomes the cause of a tragic, fatal motorcycle accident. Rather than risk losing the opportunity to join the space shuttle's next mission, Maysie chooses to ignore her conscience and flees the scene of the accident. Following the space shuttle's successful flight, an unexpected mechanical failure causes the shuttle to crash on re-entry to earth. Maysie miraculously survives the crash. Once on the road to recovery, Maysie's survival against the odds begins to needle her conscience and leads her to re-visit the scene of the fatal motorbike accident. Carried by her guilt, she forms a unique bond with the victim's brother that quickly evolves into a steamy affair. Maysie begins to find it impossible to suppress her deep-seeded feelings of guilt and keep the truth hidden that will ultimately set them both free.

BAFTA 2013 FASHION RED CARPET REPORT
Did you watch British Film and Television Academy awards this Sunday? How did you like the red carpet fashion? It usually rains during BAFTAs so we've seen lots of wet suits and gowns. If you ask your spy the best dressed was Amy Adams in gorgeous black gown, while young Jennifer Lawrence was also shinning in her glittery dress although I wish she had glamorous locks in her hair.

Lots of ladies opted for black this year. Anne Hathaway looked comfortable in her simple but refined black gown, but I'm not sure I liked the looks of Gemma Arterton, Thandie Newton and Olga Kurylenko - all gorgeous ladies who didn't shine at BAFTAs this year.
And the worst dressed? I really don't get Helen Mirren's pink hair nor Marion Cottilard's horrible yellow catastrophe of a dress, and I also thought that Saoirse Ronan and Jennifer Garner stole dresses from their grandmas for the evening!

The boys didn't disappoint as usually. We can call BAFTAs 2013 a huge hunkfest since tones of Hollywood's most handsome faces were present: Tom Hiddleston delighting the crowds with his smile, Eddie Redmayne and Jeremy Irvine bringing young charm to the red carpet and Bradley Cooper dashing as always.
And equally dashing were  gents in bowties - Rafe Spall, always handsome Hugh Jackman, style icon Luke Evans and Superman Henry Cavill!

  1. HI, Dezzy,

Thanks for the recap on the red carpet. DEFINITELY some eye candy, and a few NO PLEASES'! WHAT were THEY THINKING....

HOT. SIZZLING photo of Jessica Alba... Sounds like a good movie. Guilt and a steamy affair always gets the blood pumping....

    1. I like the plot of Alba's movie too, very intriguing when the guilt plays games with the sinful ones :)

  2. Being a terrific fashion maven myself *cough* I must say that all those dresses look pretty meh to me.

    1. yep, BAFTAS are usually and understated event, and nobody wants to dress up in glitz when it is raining at the red carpet LOL

  3. I like the plot of Alba's film too. That's got some good complex emotional stuff in it.

And I like Amy's dress but not her hair. That is not a good look, in my opinion. Jennifer Lawrence looks very pretty. And the men are all quite dashing in black...and is that red velvet on Luke Evans?

Yes, our dear Luke looks all velvety... so dashing :)

    1. Yep, he has tones of films this year, and big ones - MAD MAX, X-MEN and WARM BODIES beside JACK THE GIANT SLAYER.
And he is ever so adorable, I'm beginning to love him a lot :)

  7. Oh the glamour that gets splashed on these pages one spurt at a time...I mean one pick at a time...dunno where that 'spurt' comment came from.

Thank you Dezzy for setting me right on the vixen that is Ornella Muti. I have to say I'm surprised that you knew so much off the cuff about her. She's essentially an "unknown" at least to anyone that I associate with. But you recognized her immediately.

It's like your superpower is all things Hollywood.

Here's a test question (don't look up the answer 'cause I wanna see how deep your knowledge well goes). Do you know who Ingmar Bergman is?

    1. LOL what kind of question is that, Michael? Who doesn't know who Bergman is? I haven't watched his films because I'm not overly into older classics, but everybody knows the acclaimed directors.

Ornella is well known in Europe, or was back in the days, I don't know what she's been doing lately. Don't forget that Europe is different world from USA when it comes to films and shows and there are tones of names well known here but unknown in USA.
For example you have Virna Lisi in DUNE, another space opera. She is probably unknown in USA, but in Europe she is one of the legends.

    2. PS I've always found Ornella's surname funny, since "Muttie" means "mommy" in German :)

    3. I bow to your expertise, good sir. Now I know why your Avatar has such a big head. It no doubt is to make room for all that knowledge.

    4. Nope, my head is so big so that people could melt in moi puppy eyes LOL

  8. Amy Adams has the most precious face I just want to eat her up!!! Poor Jennifer Garner needs to show off her rockin' hot body not hide behind some Granny frock.

    1. we do love Amy, but I'm afraid she will disappoint at the Oscars, because I remember that she did a similar thing last year - shone at the Globes and had some horrid black dress at Oscars :(

  9. First let me say I've liked Katherine Heigl ever since I first saw in Roswell. Now, as for those gowns...yes, I agree that Amy and Jennifer look stunning (though Jen really should've done something fun with her hair) but the ladies in black, meh...and that horrific yellow thing? Ack! What was she thinking, not to mention Jennifer Garner who looks horrible in that whatever it is. I might like Helen's gown better if it was sleeveless and had a prettier neckline but I'm a little torn on Saoirse's gown; I almost like it except I don't think it's all that flattering on her and I'm not sure about those flower appliques or whatever they are, but I do like the colors, the brilliant royal blue and purple on the black so...

    1. Helen's gown was nice and all, and she even looked delightful twirling in it on the red carpet like a little girl, but what's with the hair?
Saoirse also had porn shoes below the horrid dress :))

    2. porn shoes, huh, those sound like what my friend Sylvia used to call f- me pumps, ahem, not that I myself have ever worn any such thing ;)

    3. Ah, Amy Winehouse had a song called FUCK ME PUMPS :) It was interesting translating that into my language when I was translating her book for our readers :)

  11. Wow, Marion Cottilard's dress is horrendous. She doesn't even seem to like it. I feel bad for her.

    1. I think she likes it,because she always has such horrid outfits at awards ceremonies :) I bet she will wear something strange at the Oscars too

  14. Why does a Moment to Remember sound like a Nicolas Sparks novel?

  15. Marion Cottilard's is so bizarre. It looks like somebody cut it by accident. Yikes!

I saw your banner up top and while I love a good cry every so often, I don't know if I want to cry on Valentine's Day! The smile sounds much better.
